That figure was debunked on a previous thread. The true figure of "sent back" was 770,000. The FEDERALLY ISSUED statistics were posted for the previous years.

The budget has increased every year Bush has been in office -- I hate to say it but more than even when that liberal from Arkansas occupied the presidency.

You can say all you want about threats of a veto -- there are no veto's by Bush -- that is a fact!

There are 20 million to 30 million illegal aliens already here and according to Bush that is not enough? He wants a guest worker program, he has only agreed to increase border security by adding 210 agents -- We have an invasion taking place of the USA -- need more?

The numbers don't lie. Bush has reduced the GROWTH of discretionary spending every year in office. Those growth rates are now down to 2% and less than inflation.

This has been a shrewd and effective strategy for implementing fiscal conservativsm. The economy is outgrowing Congressional recklessness. Tax cuts continue to deprive the beast that is Congress.

President Bush has done more than any other President to control an out of control Congress. The 39 veto threats did work.

Reactionaries like yourself want Bush and other fiscal Republicans to commit political suicide in accord with your utopian visions which will never be realized.

There are ZERO empirical examples of your notions of successful policy.

Bush has a successful fiscal, military, and border record. You and your borderbots have NOTHING to show in the way of results-- except perhaps tanking Miers.

Put up winning candidates or pipe down. The House reflects your values. Congratulations. The Senate needs much more work and blaming Bush will do nothing to change that.

Bush's speech is pressure against the Senate and toward the House-- you ought to be grateful.

You are a liar on the budget and discretionary spending has risen more under George Bush than any president in the History of the USA – as other posts on this subject have pointed out. When you don’t like the truth and can't stand the facts you ignore them. As post #67 stated “Confronted with the national crisis of an illegal foreign invasion it's nice to see where George "big spender" Bush had his priorities -- not by cutting the biggest entitlement since LBJ, but in making our borders even less secure!”

Actually, no amount of anger or rage will change the facts such as Bush's reduction of discretionary spending growth or the 39 veto threats. Those threats are further enhanced by Bush's excellent choice as vice president Dick Cheney.

Cheney has the legislative experience to make the veto threats stick.

I do not have to think like you and I am more than happy not to. It is silly and outrageous to think you can specify when I may respond.

It is absurd that defending the President of the United States is termed traitorous. Maybe you are a man without a country but I am no traitor.

There have been no repeats of the terrible 9-11 attacks and I am quite pleased with President Bush's performance.

The 6 million number is almost entirely made up of those that were stopped at the border and never made it in. That number is typical and Clinton likely had similar numbers if not higher since illegal immigration dropped after 911. According to Pew Hispanic we also added between 500,000 and 1,000,000 new illegals last year.
