You don't really want the Dems to lose their lawsuit, do you? Phone records are nice to have if you are out to get your political opponents, but credit card and bank records are even better if you really want to know who is doing what. The G.W. Orwell administration knows this and they likely have such information on you and all the Dems in Congress by now. Evidence, please. Also, please enlighten me as to how a phone number with no name attached violates anyone's privacy.

Please confirm you that you will not have any complaint about Democrats having the same info controlled by the G.W. Orwell administration now, once the Democrats take the White House and Congress in 2009. After you respond to the substance of my post, I will respond to yours.

First, if you think the dems are going to have the Congress and White House in '09, then to quote The Dread Pirate Roberts, you should "get used to disappointment."
Second, if the Dems would use the information in the same way the current administration is using it, I would not only have no complaint, I would be downright enthusiastic. This program makes terrorists lives harder and doesn't violate anyone's privacy, so if President Hillary wants to use it as is, good for her.
