I'd rather deny one US citizen his vote, then to allow 100 illegals to vote in his place.

What amazes me is that these lawyers and their clients really beleive the crap that they're spouting. Like that ACLU lawyer arguing about the NYC subway searches in their appeal. Talk about being stuck on stupid!

The Governor, Gas Can Jan has stopped Prop 200 ever since it was passed. Why don't they ask banks, car lots, check cashing facilities to stop asking for ID? The reson is simple.
The want and enocourage illegals to vote. It amazes me, no to ID to vote, but it's OK anyplace else.
All I can say is GO SHERIFF JOE catch all you can.

In my state (NC) you don't even need a picture ID to vote. All you need to know is a name and address and hope that person hasn't voted yet. I am all for requiring ID before voting. In fact, if a fair vote were ever held, Democrats would become an endangered species.

California is the same way, name and address please. Ofc we have the "motor voter" here which means when you apply for a license there is a question on there, U.S. citizen or not? Mark yes and you can vote. Amazing in a state with well over 3 million illegals in it.
Illegals are ruining our election process too. California has gained a 2 seats? in Congress because of the number of people here even though 3 million of them are illegal.
Talk about disenfranchisement, you guys should be screaming.

When I first registered to vote some 40yrs. ago, I was required to show a birth certificate (to establish my citizenship,) my drivers license (to establish my residence) and my HS diploma (to establish my literacy in English.) Never thought it was all that difficult or intrusive.

You have to live here to understand. Sheriff Joe enforces the law, regardless. A large number WISH he would run for Gov.
The Gov a) ignores the WILL of the people and governs on polls (ever hear that before), b) is up for re-elect thus the broder statemnt(s). But vetoed the bill to put troops on the broder saying it's the Fed's job. Common knowledge is she is a front runner for the Dem's national program.

""The reality is that Proposition 200 erects more barriers to voting and discourages citizens from registering to vote," said Cynthia Valenzuela, MALDEF's director of litigation."
I call LIAR! If anything citizens are more confident in ballot and voting integrity.
