And I am pessimistic, like you.
Bush needs to go on TV, read to the American people the statements that the Mullahs have made, show us what a nuke in NYC will do, and say we will not allow it to happen and will do whatever we must to stop them.
He would have 70% suppport for going in. But he is lazy.
IMO, the powers that be KNOW Iran has nukes and they are befuddled on how to react. We are getting way too much support from unlikely countries such as France and Germany and roadblocks from Russia and China to suggest otherwise.
I don't think he is "lazy" persay, as it's more a fact that the MSM either spikes his news and what comes out of the White House and then follow up with a constant drum-beat of "doom, gloom, doom, gloom, doom, doom, doom"
He could be on TV once a day, and they'd still only give him a 20 second slot of coverage.
President Bush saw into his heart, so I'm not worried. END SARCASM!
It shall be the policy of this nation to regard any attack launched from Iran against any nation in the Middle East as an attack by the Soviet Union, er Russia, on the United States, requiring a full retaliatory response on the Soviet Union.
I wonder if Putin is ready to apply this philosophy to Chechnya and the other Muslim areas of Russia? The Russians and Chinese seemed to have convinced themselves that they have nothing to fear from nuclear proliferation, for now.
...update from Tailgunner Joe.
Putin takes swipe at hungry America's 'Comrade Wolf'
