Your neighbors may be right in a sense, but they are displaying ignorance on teh bottom line. The democrat party has become much more left wing and cannot handle foreign policy, because their starting assumptions render them incompetent.

The ignorance is not realizing this, and thinking you can just switch to the other party when the republicans let you down. That isn't true if the other party is the communist party.

BTW I blame republicans for this in part. For the good of the country they should aggressively call out the dems and force them to move closer to the middle. Instead, the GOP treats the dems like a competent mainstream party.

I will proudly vote for Ken Blackwell. But my vote will never again go for another RINO.

Suppose someone said "I will proudly vote for Jim Petro. But my vote will never again go for another religious conservative."

All that gets us is Ted Strickland. And with your attitude all it will get us is Harry and Nancy (it is a better joke if Reids first name was Sid) running congress.

John McCain,Chuck Hagel,Rudy Guliannni,George Pataki?

You just do what you are told and leave the heavy lifting to the rest of America that still thinks for themselves.

¿Juan McCain, Tirada Hagel, Rudy Guliannni, George Pataki? Usted apenas hace lo que le dicen y deja la elevación pesada al resto de América que todavía piense para sí mismos.

Sometimes I think we should all stay home. Who represents ME anymore ? NO ONE that's who . I need all of one hand to count who is on MY side any more of most issues. There are 2 schools. Those who oppose what I believe and those who tell me they believe what I do , then stab me in the back once in power. They are ALL professional politicians out for personal gain and power , the public be damned !Sorry folks, just getting VERY disgusted with US politicians these days , on both side of the aisle.

Staying home is what they all want us to do, at least when they can't be sure we'll vote for them. The only vote wasted is the vote un cast.

I know you're right . Just getting worse by the day it seems. Majority of the population wants tough immigration laws and they say screw you . Ot's all money and pork and big business. They will get us all killed someday and no even care , as long as it's good for business.

The new voters that the GOP is pandering to. I want them to feel right at home. Wait until there are two Free Republic sites, one in English and one in Spanish. Think it won't happen?

immigration ... this is a legitimate problem... but only if the GOP gives amnesty to the illegals, or if they are able to vote illegally.

You make a fine argument for your position on every topic except for the above. The GOP factions in the White House and the Senate are prepared to grant amnesty to 12 million illegal aliens. I read, with great interest, an article posted yesterday about the dramatic increase in Hispanic voter registration since Clinton and his 'Rat Congress passed the Motor Voter Act. Something like 10% to 15% increases in white and black voter registrations in Floriduh since, while Hispanics showing increases on the order of 2,000% to 7,000%! Don't try to convince me me illegals aliens aren't voting illegally in mass numbers with stats like these. And when a million illegals have the nerve to take to our streets and demand special rights while waving the flags of their home nations in our faces, take a guess which party the vast majority are voting for.

Charlie is pretty conservative when it comes to polling. He tends to rely on the conventional polling firms, and, in this case, on those with whom he has a business relationship. He discounts Rasmussen because he doesn't trust his methods.

I don't understand the science and craft of polling, but I do think that public behavior has changed with respect to the way traditional polling is done which puts a cloud of doubt over their results. Cell phones, call screening, VOIP, etc. are having an effect on polling - exactly what effect is the big question.

My plan is to not work to help Snowe. She's secure. I am focusing on our governor race. I will be supporting whoever the republican is. Baldacci's destroying the state. Also, there's a female republican running against Tom Allen. I will be supporting her.

Other than that... I can use the time I would have used for Snowe to help Santorum and Talent and other vulnerable republican candidates.

If your state is secure this 2006 I recommend others do the same. ADOPT A CANDIDATE

ELECTION 2006 LINKS

Another thing I plan on doing is posting articles I see here at FR in other newsgroups where everybody is NOT a republican. Sometimes we forget that we are preaching to the choir and we need to go out among the "sinners" and spread the good news of conservatism. So I often combat the liberal moonbats in USENET / GOOGLE POLITICAL NEWSGROUPS

I also recommend joining (for free) this wonderful site called www.gopteamleader.com

I do.

Just finished canvassing a swing neighborhood in Dayton for Blackwell last week, and was surprised at the LACK of hostility among Republicans toward Bush or the GOP. Most were going to vote in the primary, and (obviously) Blackwell won.

I heard no one say, "Damned GOP, I'm gonna stay home."

Further, I think the natural political cycle of events is going to swing our way: the chance that you'll have any Katrina residuals is nil by Nov.; Iraq keeps getting better; and gas prices will probably drop some.

The illegals thing has everyone upset, but the Dems are simply not an answer, in any way, shape, or form, and people know that.
