Nobody likes the spawn of Ted less than I - but it's not exactly news if the Capitol Police are giving breaks to Members - more like dog bites man, eh?

If she were "on her way to vote" - I'd get out of her way quick.

I agree 100 percent.
But I'm afraid they will find their retribution in the lower ranks.

My guess is the watch commander is a big time Dem.
Probably knew that "Moose" goofball as well somewhere in his past.

No one has been fired at this point. And we think there will be firings? NOT. Did anyone get fired over the Vince Foster case? So why would anyone get fired over this. More likely a promotion.
To: SkyPilot
Actually, that was my very first thought as soon as I heard the Fox reporter say it, along with, "Where was she Thursday and Friday?"
Lord knows what we'll hear next.

Did I miss something?
I don't think he damaged the car too much.

This sucks. Why should integrity be defined by union shills? It's time for the brass to stand up!!!!

"Capitol Police have taken disciplinary action against a watch commander for the handling of Rep. Patrick Kennedy's car accident, acting Capitol Police Chief Christopher McGaffin said."
Who is that watch commander? Any name or pictures? He should be outed all over the internet!!
Can one of our super-spy FReepers dig this info up?

Patrick may prefer Blonds like his Daddy otherwise that "mystery Lady" may well have been Monsieur Gregory. I have seen a few threads in the last couple of years especially the one where the lady had to call the Coast Guard to be rescued from a Yacht that Kennedy trashed to the tune of almost $30,000. Patrick apparently went ape with her and the Yacht. There were very large hints that he is "in the closet". I feel really bad because of that thing he had to live with growing up,look what it did to his Mother. I really feel for anyone that gets involved with "Northeastern White Trash."

I wonder if Fat Teddy went to the compound and then to the basement vault to extract some of Old Joe's cash.

there was a threat of a full force revolt by the rank and file.
Something must be up. These cops are acting like the Swiftboat Vets. That's not typical behavior of police, in my experience. Anyway, someone in D.C. seems to have sprouted a backbone.

There were very large hints that he is "in the closet". As Howlin and I were discussing, the whole homosexual angle didn't matter much in this before - and I really don't care. But, now that his handlers are bringing forth a woman he was supposedly "with" that night to vouch for him so he cannot be placed at the Hawk and Dove and the other bar, it becomes relevant, doesn't it?
I don't think the Kennedy spin team thought that through.
If "Patches" has a hole in the bottom of his Fruit of the Looms, then his "I was was with a woman" defense could become an even bigger problem for him.

I agree that this will be prosecuted, and after the Courts make it mandatory that he stay dry and free from drugs, alcohol he will finally get the help he so badly needs. I disagree with those that say that the average citizen does not get these kind of breaks, because sometimes they do. The reason is that "there for the Grace of God go I" mentality in the average Police Officer, even if they are by the book. When they are off duty, some get wasted just like John Q Public. They are not supposed to drive the guy or gal home though, send him in a Cab or call someone to pick him up. The fact that he almost hit the police Car and hit something else and was driving too fast with his lights out should have gotten him busted right then no matter who he is. I have called Cabs for Officers that wanted to give a guy a break, only to have to run a history on the drunk who comes back to pick up his car that the officer made him park and got caught trying to drive it away. Really stupid on both parts.

Has anyone seen the Kennedy handwritten statement from two weeks ago when he ran into a Coast Guard Commander in Rhode Island?
Providence Journal published the report in Sat 5/6/06 edition, but it's website excludes the handwritten report. The handwritten report is barely , just barely legible, and he can't even sign his name!
Unbelievable that they let this drunk off the hook two weeks ago, much less on last Thursday!
