Right now all the evidence points to Negroponte simply wanting one of his own men in that position now that he is in charge of a number of agencies, including the CIA.

If that is the case, President Bush should step on Negroponte butt. The President appoints and does not have to take any suggestion from Negroponte if he so chooses. The President made his choice and if Negroponte doesn't like it, he should resign.

The local radio talk show host in Orlando, Bud Heddinger, suggested that scenerio yesterday when he came on after the Rush Limbaugh Show.
