>>WASHINGTON - Angry conservatives are driving the approval ratings of President Bush and the GOP-led Congress to dismal new lows, according to an AP-Ipsos poll that underscores why Republicans fear an Election Day massacre.
Six months out, the intensity of opposition to Bush and Congress has risen sharply, along with the percentage of Americans who believe the nation is on the wrong track. <<
What odd timing for this story considering the President's numbers are up lately - why its almost as if there is a political slant to this fine example of journalisitic expertise... How very odd.

The MSM with the big lie, said often enough...people believe it. Drives down poll numbers, self-fulfilling prophecy.

Well I have to say the Stealth Rockefeller Republicans are ruining the party. Conservatives like nothing done halfway. And won't tolerate someone who is half-handed.

It's so funny to see the press pray that the Republican party fights with GWB. On the issue of illegal immigration and amnesty, we differ. We aren't, however, going to stop voting for Republicans and start voting for Democrats.
The only thing that will sink the Republican House and Senate is wishy-washiness on immigration.

While I remain steadfast behind the President, despite his MANY shortcomings, there are many on this board, [20% or so] who would rather see Pelosi Ligosi as Speaker and Scary Harry as the Majority leader than support the GOP.
Thank God our founding fathers were NOT all single issue voters!!

Bush is enough to make good conservatives vote dim -- well on reconsideration, probably not.
You can't treat dissatisfaction with voting. Arguments are good, mind numbed robots, like the impeachment at all costs crowd is not. In the end, conservatives will do what they always do, vote Republican. Why? The Dim is just to much too take. After that, they will go back to arguing and watching the dims stew in their own hate.

No, the Conservatives are being abandoned by the Republican Party.

The public is not tired of Republicans - they are tired of Republicans not acting like Republicans. Moreoever, they can't communicate worth a Thanksgiving Turkey found on Thanksgiving Day from the year before...
