I think it is time to bring in Rudi Gulianni. He would crack the whip and get things fix, while telling the media to kiss his ass!

Goss could have exited stage right in a number of ways..
Resigning sends a message.. Whats the message?. We may never know..

But not being able to do his job could be one..
Serving under a RINO President, I suspect..
His replacement may give some clues.. maybe not..
The Sandy Burgular affair could the tip of the/an iceberg..
Wonder how many traitors there are in the FBI and BATF also..

The Goss resignation is a clue as is the leak'er cabal in the CIA..
One thing is certain a RINO as President is just a stealth democrat..
Amazing how just being a democrat is a license to "whatever"...
Being a republican(a real one) makes you a target..
And the Justice Department is hamstrung to do anything about it..
ON PURPOSE?... maybe.. maybe even probably..

Goss was either:

not playing nice enough with the commie staffers at the CIA, so Bush got rid of him

or

he wasn't playing rough enough and will be replaced by someone tougher.

We will know which when the next Director of the CIA is selected.

Too much smoke here, the fire will start burning. The president didn't need another problem. Too bad.

Seems like the escalation of the role of the position of the new intelligence czar, may be behind the change. In think that when Goss was appointed the intelligence czar position was only under discussion and the CIA was then top-dog of all the intelligence services. The czar has been moving some basic and "final" decision making, including decisions about intelligence analysis, out of the CIA. Maybe Goss feels like he did not hire on to be second-fiddle?

I can see where this might be planned.

No better way to fool the underlings at the CIA and screw up their current networks of traitorous activity than announce a change of leadership SUDDENLY so they have no time to plan.

If so, very clever and kudos to Pres. Bush and Goss.

Well, NRO is also addressing it....they, too, question the timing of this and think that, regardless, it is not good news.

OMG! That's a great idea. Giuliani is perfect for DCI! A proven crime fighter, a guy who doesn't take crap from entrenched bureaucrats, a guy who has enough of his own juice to stand up to anyone and continue the work Goss was doing, which, BTW, means rooting out all the anti-Americans and chair warmers and putting in patriots and guys who want to go where the bad guys are and do what has to be done.

I thought Goss was supposed to be a big hard-ass. Or is that just how the MSM painted him?

The DUmmies will probably say the Kennedy crash came out first to cover this up-coming announcement.

Just wait till the Sunday shows....

Giuliani is perfect for DCI!

Not in a million years would Giuliani take the job under its current structure, where it reports to the Director of National Intelligence (Negroponte). My belief is that he would only take a job in the current administration that reports direclty to the President.

that newbie may be a troll.....but Bill Kristol and many are saying this is a complete surprise, more so then usual, no replacement named yet, and there are suspicions that something bad is lurking......Duke Cunningham HAS been mentioned with the CIA......so whatever it is.....there is some sh** hitting the fan and may not look good for the Pres.......not my words......but others on FOX.......

You're probably right. Another reason is that he probably wants to keep his campaigning options open and DCI is a very full time job. We can dream, can't we?

The CIA is like the Society of Jesus in the Catholic Church. It now works against the leadership it is sworn to serve.
