Iv'e been banging the drum about about the deficit spending around here but all I hear is abortion and the borders. This is friggin serious.

Yeah the stock market is doing great but that reflects the health of a group of individual companies...it has nothing to do with the fiscal health of the Federal government.
I don't want to be a chicken little but with W being a lame duck ..entitlements ...tort reform...tax reform..etc are at least 3 years from being addressed.

Evey time those bonds go down we pay more in interest on the deficet.

Can ya'll not believe your own ears and eyes? He's a globalist, a nation killing globalist.

Globalist believe the nation state is dead and he is doing his darnedest to kill it. He said, "I want to see a free trade zone from the north of Canada to the tip of Cape Horn".

What that means is, no borders, no Constitution, no Bill of Rights, no Declaration of Independence, he means it with all his heart and is working feverishly to get it done before he leaves office.

V. Fox said of their meeting in Crawford, addressing an audience during the International meeting in Monterrey Mexico. "The U.S., Canada, and Mexico, will unite under one trade umbrella, with American wages dropping to meet Mexico's rising wages, and the rest of S. America joining in at some point".

What they mean by that is no borders, trade issues are to be decided by an appointed not elected body along with what human rights you are entitled to.

If you read deeply into the discussions of the FTAA treaty you will see the discussion of what to do with dissenters, such as, giving Judges the ability to enforce heavy penalties against "xenophobes" who wish to hold onto their old nation state and refuse to bow to the new order of things.

Grab your socks, take a wake up pill, all the tin foil hat conspiracy theorists were dead on. These guys don't even bother to hide it anymore because people are too stupid and lazy to ask exactly what the end result of their plans will be.

And I'll repeat it yet again.

Based on their repeated behavior, these Beltway politicians couldn't possibly comprehend the degree of angst, disgust and frustration swelling in the conservative base of the Republican Party.

They comprehend it just fine. They just don't give a sh!t about the base.

They think they can manipulate us into voting for them again by telling us that if we don't, the queers are gonna boofoo us, after stealing our guns and burning our flags.

Which basically means that they think that we are idiots.

Well, that too. LOL

Where you got this idea the GOP base will take whatever you throw at it and stick I don't know. A lot of people that comprise the GOP base were former Democrats. I left the Democrats.

Bravo. Former democrat here also. Until about the first six months the clintons were in office, and I watched the entire party become clones of them and become the party of division and emotion. Have voted straight repub since-but-ain't doing it any more. They have backstabbed me on every issue I voted them into power for, and I no longer care what happens to either major party.

There is a major battle going on right now for the heart of the Republican Party. Will it be run from the bottom up by the grass roots, or from the top down by the elitist Leftists, "moderates (RINOS) and One-worlders? The Top-downers are in control, and the grass roots is walking away in droves. I believe a new third party will come out of this. In my state, "The Reagan Wing" represents "the Republican Wing of the Republican Party." www.thereaganwing.com

"I believe a new third party will come out of this."

Not as long as the LP and CP are there to siphon off the disgruntled vote.

I wrote this same letter to the RNC yesterday. However, I used words like "paralyzed" and "cowering".

And we lost one of our best fighters when we lost DeLay.

I never liked DeLay. I really don't think he was honest.

Well, now, that poll must be fixed.

Every day, over and over, I read posts saying that disaffected
Republicans are a tiny minority, and most of us are DU trolls who never voted for a Republican in our lives, and we only signed up recently to cause trouble.

I am so confused.......

(MUST I add a sarcasm tag??)

Here is a letter I sent to Sen. Dole and Ken Mehlman yesterday...

Dear Senator Dole,

Thank you for your service to our country. However, I will not be contributing to the Republican National Committee. My donations will go to the Minuteman Project and others who are actually doing something to protect our borders. Do none of you in Washington D. C. see that in a few years, these illegal immigrants will be voting Republicans out of office, replacing them with socialist Hispanics? Look at California now. That is the future of the USA.

I feel abandoned by the GOP and watch helplessly as my party continues to falter and dig us into a deep hole. When Republicans in Congress return to conservative values I believe you will see support from people like my family and others who treasure the days of Ronald Reagan and Newt Gingrich. I am astounded by the rhetoric I see and hear from Senator Spector and other prominent leaders. After all, the Republicans have control of Congress and yet do nothing but act like Democrats.

I will continue to vote for the candidates who best match my belief that Republicans must take charge of the House and the Senate and vote the will of their constituents. As of now, none of my Congressional leaders fit this requirement.

I am deeply disappointed with my senator, Mel Martinez, and other senators who continue to pander to their "friends" and " distinquished colleagues" across the aisle.

I fully expect that the Senate and the House will lose Republican seats in 2006. As bad as this will be for America, it will be the direct result of a lack of leadership from Republicans in Congress.

It is past time that you, and other leaders, take a stand on the floor and do what is necessary to protect our borders, stop the ridiculous pork spending, make the tax cuts permanent, begin drilling in ANWR , (and off the coast of Florida, if necessary,) and, most of all, SHOW SOME BACKBONE! Stand up to the Democratic senators and Republican-in-name-only senators and solve some of our problems!

Our nation is at war and I hear no strong voices defending our president and his efforts to lead and protect this country. I want to see strong leadership from my party. Instead, all I see and hear is the weak voice of Senator Frist, who appears to be placating the Democrats. These are not the characteristics of the people I want making decisions that affect my family and the course of my country.

I recommend that all of you read former Governor of Colorado Dick Lamm's recent article on how to defeat America. Perhaps his words will have an impact on your future decisions. I pray for the Republican Party leaders to wake up before it is too late. I am sorry to say, I do not believe they will.

God bless America.

cc: K.Mehlman

Yes, their spendthrift ways are not what any conservative wanted; their spinelessness is incomprehensible when they hold the House, the Senate, and the executive; their utter tonedeafness on some issues that need not be front and center in an election year because those are issues are divisive among the Republicans' base.

But have any of us forgot what happened when the Democrats were running the show back in 1992-1994: the "Assault Weapons" ban, Hillarycare, and foreign policy disasters such as the Agreed Framework, which turned out to be the perfect framework for Kim Jong-il? I don't want to see Senator Kennedy, Senator Clinton, and Senator Schumer setting the agenda in the Senate. I don't want another Ms. Madeleine Albright anywhere near our State Department. Nor a new Ms. Janet Reno in any position of federal power.

Not as long as the LP and CP are there to siphon off the disgruntled vote.

Many of those disgruntled Republicans are voting LP and CP because there is no better alternative. They would quickly and willingly abandon those to support a truly Conservative/old-school liberal party:

1. Federal Government strictly limited to the Constitutionally enumerated powers. Federal government has no role or responsibility in Education, Transportation, Agriculture, science, religion, art, museums, or teapots.

2. Strong Defense (defend against attack, terminate enemies that attack us and those that support and harbor our enemies, stay out of other people's wars; our military is for defense, not building someone else' nation)

3. Strong support for the rule of law (law as limited by the Constitution), including closing our borders to illegal invasion (shouldn't that be called national defense?).

4. Get the Federal Government out of the business of legislating and enforcing morality. (Abortion, drug posession/use, crime, etc. are at most a state issues, and more likely local issues).

5. Eliminate all 55,000 pages of the current tax code and replace it with a consumption tax, outlawing any possibility of ever making exemptions, and with a rebate to every citizen to cover the taxes on the minimum essential living expense.

6. Return control and ownership of all Federal lands to the states in which they belong. If the people of Nevada want to use their land and sell their services as a storage site for nuclear waste, then it should be their decision; not that of a Senator from Rhode Island.

7. Remove all federal restrictions on business, occupational health and safety, and environment. Businesses are liable in court just like individuals for damage to the lives, health, and property of others. Again, these are at most a state issues, and many are local issues. Whether or not to drill in ANWR should be a business/state decision made by Alaska voters and Alaska business people. If the people of California want a gasoline additive to reduce polution in California, then California voters should decide on it and pay for it at the pump.

Not an exhaustive list, but it's a start. Notice that it didn't say legalize all drugs (LP) or outlaw all abortions (CP), or spend $700M relocating a railroad. Instead, it said let these be the decisions of the local populations that are affected by the decisions, and paid for by those populations. The role of government and courts is to protect the rights, property, lives, and health of individuals from being damaged by the actions of other individuals and nations, nothing more.

I try not to "like" or "love" or even get too hooked on appreciating ANY politician. I do occasionally admire those who actually become effective in causing government to lighten up on business/professional entrepreneurs/endeavorors (that includes rural/ag people)and restore ANY degree of freedom for individuals, groups and even markets in this nation, or even in the world!!!

Like him, or not, Delay was VERY effective in the cause of freedoms described above and I admire what he accomplished which was a heck of a lot more than most other Repellicans in CONgress. Doolittle, Herger and Pombo from CA are also in this catagory IMO!!!
