It's amazing that there is absolutly no mention whatsoever about Uncle (hic!) Ted's little escapade with a bridge.

Then he should be charged with driving under the influence if he was taking prescribed drugs that cause drowziness.

He was sort of, like, sleepwalking. Only it was sleep driving.
I want the names of the officers who instructed the police on the scene not to test him for alcohol.
Do the Kennedys control the DC budget? Doesn't the Republican controlled House and Senate have anything to say about it? I think they should defund the DC police unless they start making a little sense. Highest murder rate, highest unsolved murder rate, and political corruption at the highest levels. And the whole thing funded by a Republican congress that gets no respect.

Hopefully the Kennedy's will find out that it's not 1969 anymore.

Use caution when driving, operating machinery, or performing other hazardous activities. Promethazine may cause dizziness or drowsiness. If you experience dizziness or drowsiness, avoid these activities.
Probably shouldn't drive on that stuff. In some states that would be just as illegal as drunk driving.

If he was so "disoriented", how can he be sure he didn't drink?

He took sleeping pills while out running around in the wee hours of the morning? What a brainiac.

To: JeanS
Even if this was true, which we know it's not...but if it was...if you're taking a prescription medication that makes you drowsy you'll get a DUI...It's not DWI anymore it's DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE...and that's a big umbrella.

Ah yes, the slowly evolving story. First, no special treatment, no alcohol, rushing to make a vote. Next, special treatment, but not intoxicated. Now, thought he needed to vote(nobody was buying that story) and under the influence of prescription medication.
Maybe he should read the bottle....of pills that says not to mix with the bottle of booze.

At 2:45 in the morning he should have been at home in bed. After all, why take a sleeping medicine if you're going out driving? Good grief, he needs help.
To: JeanS
He had a similar crash on Aoril 15..And he kept driving? And--What was he doing in that part of town at about 3 a.m. ?
To: JeanS
Sleep medication usually makes you sleep, not jump in your gas guzzling Mustang and head to Capitol Hill for a vote in the middle of the night. He was either drunk or needs to be under 24 hour psychiatric observation.
