I think she was referring to your post in #225. Apparently she was serious and not being sarcastic. I thought she was being sarcastic, but she claims her post was misconstrued. Apparently she was asking the question "from her heart" as she says.

I think so too. I also live in PA so I am anxious to talk to her.

I think she is refering to my posts, regarding adoption by gay couples.

As you can tell...I too thought it sarcastic.

But I was mistaken and apologized and hopefully she'll post again or Freepmail you. (without having a posting history its more difficult to get a hint at a persons inference)

From what I've seen, read and heard about -- I would say no. You can correct me if I'm wrong.

You see..., that's the point to this whole thread, that a distinct and separate community exists, in and of itself (a separate culture), coming out of the fact that being deaf (mainly from birth for the bulk of this discussion) is something radically different than any other kind of disability -- to the point where that "community" forms on its own (no particular "political" motives needed to have started it).
