Think all the crap corn syrup in everything has anything to do with this or are we not allowed to talk about that..

You can certainly talk about it but you'd just be blaming something other than the real cause of obesity and diabetes.

I don't have a graph but according to the U.S.D.A., per capita consumption of high fructose corn syrup in the U.S. has been matched with an almost equal decline in the per capita use of sugar. HFCS is a sugar replacement. Where there was once sugar (or would be sugar) there is now HFCS. You can thank government protection of our inefficient sugar industry for that since it forces us to pay two to three times the world price for sugar.

More importantly, consumption of HFCS has declined since its peak in 1999. The USDA estimates per capita sugar consumption in 2004 was 44.0 lbs per year and 42.3 lbs per year for HFCS.

For anyone that thinks I'm full of crap on the "corn syrup" comment, go to the store and look at the ingredients of most of the things on the shelves...

I don't think you're full of it but I do think you are misinformed. HFCS is a sugar substitute. It is used only where sugar once was, or where it would be, if we didn't have to pay 2-3 times the world price for sugar to protect our sugar farmers.

Sugar (sucrose) and HFCS are made up of the same ingredients in almost identical proportions. To say that one causes all sorts deleterious effects in humans while the other doesn't is pretty silly. Would you have thrown that toothpaste away if it had sugar instead of HFCS?

ADM has been an unethical company for a long time. That doesn't mean that the products they make are bad for you. They're more partial to price fixing. There are four other companies who supply the vast majority of HFCS in this country. Cargill and Staley are two of them and they are first class companies. I don't understand your fear of HFCS unless you also fear sugar. Of course, then you'd have to explain why either of them, in moderation, are bad for you.
