Like I said before, it is your right to embrace seething anger and hatred veiled as "comedy". You just shouldn't be surprised when you're called on it.

Why the hell did George Bush invite Stephen Colbert to the dinner? That's like the same as inviting Jon Stewart there, then getting outraged when he insults the president when that's what hes known for. Colbert's entire show is a satire of Bill O'Reilly and conservatives. I laughed while watching the show, but more in the way I laugh at shock humor.

GWB did not invite anyone to the dinner. The President was a guest to the dinner, not the host.

I watched Colbert's schtick on MSNBC a few nights ago and couldn't turn it off because it was difficult to believe that the Bushes were sitting right there. It was pretty painful and just drug on and on. For the ancient partisan Helen Thomas to be used this way was shameless. George W. Bush should be commended for showing dignity and putting himself through this. I did laugh...at how awful it was! At least "Colbear" knows he bombed and is parodying this fact on is own Jon Stewart spin-off show.
