The Senate is feeling some pressure on the border issue....
Why Iraq, why not take the money back from prescription drug giveaway.
why stop there? we should abolish all nanny-entitlement programs.
Apparently our Senators are more fearful of the senior lobby than they are of al Qaeda.
And well they should be. Just wait until all the baby boomers are seniors, that will be a terrifying lobby. Younger folk should have jumped at the chance for personal accounts before it is too late.
Cultural threats alwys take precedence over military/terror threats.
Congress is clearly feeling more emboldened all the time to depart from the lame duck and his toughly worded veto threats.
>Why Iraq, why not take the money back from prescription drug giveaway.
I saw a TV spot on a young person who was on 17 (yes 17) prescription drugs. The daily cost was over 250 dollars, and this person wanted more money for more drugs! I'm am all for helping people get prescription drugs that they need. However, I am not for supporting people with prescription drug habits.
I wouldn't penalize seniors who can't afford their medications. Currently there are only 4 states in the entire country that check for citizenship BEFORE granting medicaid, housing, food stamps, and cash to illegal aliens. Stop providing those benefits to the 12 plus million collecting them, and instead of catch and release, do a catch, build the wall, release on the other side, and we would probably have enough left over to give our soldiers a pay raise!
But, these fools will spend tens of billions on building low income housing for NO and endless social programs.
Beginning June 1, you will have to provide proof of citizenship in order to get Medicaid in all 50 states. It is a new federal law.
$1.3 billion could build a lot of the wall.
This was an emergency supplemental bill
Money on top of what has ALREADY been appropriated for spending
This reporter is playing word games with the title
You think someone told them that the Greatest Generation taught a significant percentage of their offspring to shoot straight?
shoot straight?
How does a suppplemental bill take away from what's already put aside for the war?
well, damn, it's about time the senate began to feel a little hot under the collar and feeling the pressure...
Now, if we can get our commander in chief's head out of the clouds and have him listen to the American people, the voice of this country that matters, then maybe we can get somewhere...
