The loss of land and soverngty have always been factors in determining the risks of war. Let their be real risks and consequences and watch their "faith" find a peaceful accomodation. It is all about risk to leaders and consequences.

Maybe not. After nearly 40 years of occupying these lands the world forgot why Israel had done so. Maybe it's unfortunate. Maybe Israel had to withdraw to unmask the true nature of its enemies.
But if that is true, then I'm afraid it still isn't enough. Israel will have to take some serious hits to justify internationally why it must retake Gaza. But internally and among some people it already is justified.
