Good morning and thanks for the ping. If Tony goes to the WH I certainly will miss him. However, looking on the bright side, I'll actually be able to accomplish something between 9 and 12 every morning.

LOL, are you going as a FReeper???
I hear there are going to be lots of Boris and Natacha disguises amongst the FReepers.

Good Morning everyone! A day of mixed emotions if CNN is right, but happy for Tony whatever the decision may be. He's the best!

My local radio is reporting that CNN is reporting the White House Press job appears to be a done deal.I haven't heard anything from FNC. I hope they are not mad.
Tony still may have to defer to an official White House announcement.

Sen. Trent Lott, R-MS, weighs in on it. I'm not really in the mood for Trent today

Good luck. I'll be watching for you on the live thread. :-)
I'm glad I got a new computer recently. I can still get a dose of Tony's good sense on streaming CSPAN, if necessary. ;-)
I've always had this hankering to make thread snowflakes, crocheted, knitted, tatted, bobbin lace. This could give me the perfect excuse. All with prayers for Tony's success and America's healthy survival.
Woof,
Pinz

I'm never in the mood for Lott. He's just another slimey pol who speaks out of both sides of his mouth.

Trent can get to be a bit full of himself...still, the guy is a native conservative even though he has disappointed. Don't forget, his colleagues stabbed him in the back too. and while I like Frist as a doctor, as a Majority Leader, he makes a good doormat. I'd like to see Mitch McConnell as Majority Leader come the fall. (We had BETTER win!)

In case you missed Cavuto's Common Sense from yesterday.
It was a good one.
Congress Blowing Hot Air at Energy Crunch
Monday , April 24, 2006
By Neil Cavuto
I see Chuck Schumer wants to investigate the oil companies for price gouging. Why doesn't he ask his fellow politicians to do the same about tax gouging?
After all, oil companies' profit works out to nine cents a gallon. Taxes total more like 40 cents a gallon.
But you don't hear Schumer whining about the taxes. After all, that's an easy source of revenue for a monotonous list of social programs whose failures are legendary. Better to keep funding them through taxes that are killing us, than demanding accountability due all of us.
Senator, if you want to bring gas prices down, start offering solutions and stop playing games.
Start opening areas for more oil exploration here, so we don't rely on oil from over there.
Start ending the environmental catchpenny of blended fuel mandates, that's done squat to clean our air but done tons to sully our wallets.
Start removing the restrictions that prevent companies like Wal-Mart from selling more gasoline here.
And start demanding the same accountability of our tax dollars that you do oil giants' dollars.
You do motorists no good, Senator Schumer, when you motor past the facts and only stop for an open microphone.
No one's a saint in this process, Senator, least of all... you.

I saw an infamous "Fox News Alert" on at 9:00am. I was sure it was about Tony. Alas, no. It was about Moussaoui.
If Tony is on the air this morning, I don't know about the rumor.
If Tony is missing then it's a go.
