Interesting that the one apparent gun is mounted amidships and high rather than on the fore deck near the nose cone, bow to all you skimmers. What ever happened to tradition?;) The room in the bow is used for the Standard SAM launcher and missile magazine.

Probably better to fire missles from the bow than amidships, although I know it can be done either way.

I served on a Brooke class FFG with the missile launcher amidships. One major difference is that while we had a missile magazine of 12 loads, the Perry class have a magazine that carries 40.

I know she is a far more capable ship than her predecessors. Deadly and beautiful, who couldn't go for that combination?
