Polls of adults are not reliable, they only give you a general trend.

Polls of adults are not reliable, they only give you a general trend. Polls of adults are VERY reliable. It just depends what you're measuring. There is a big difference between an opinion poll and an electoral poll. This is an opinion poll on the President's job performance. It is NOT an electoral poll, so there's no reason to confine the participants to registered or likely voters. Non-voters have opinions on the President, too, and that's all these polls are trying to measure.

Iornically, most the illegals are quite secular in their outlook, as Mexico has and still is, militant in being a secular state. The Catholic church in the US will not find any renewal though illegal or legal immigration.

How silly you are !
In 1980 oil was expensive.
In 1983 oil prices had halved from 1980.
Not to mention that nasty recession that stretched from 1980 to 1983 precisely to crush demand inflation. You see, when the interest rate is 18% people stop buying things.
You seem to be incapable of understanding that demand can come from the public and business and/or government.

(A conservative party tough on illegal immigration could carry California in 2008)
