Last time I checked, the Republicans hold a majority in both houses of Congress and could reduce or eliminate gasoline taxes if they choose to.
No, they can't. That would require a set of cojones, or failing that, a spine. Of the Repubs in the senate, I can name one, maybe tow that have either one of those things.
