Any sympathy I had for New Orleans is completely gone now. If the people there can be so stupid as to vote for this guy after he has done nothing but display staggering incompetence then they deserve whatever it is they get.

if think 38% might be Nagins ceiling. If people liked him so much, why did 62% vote for other candidates?
To: georgia2006
Nagin will be reelected in the runoff. Just my opinion.

"Nagin Scores Well With Blacks in Big Easy"Gee, he's a mayor with his hand out, blaming the federal government for his problems - DUH!
To: mewzilla
Its true, only 30% showed up which for New Orleans has to be low.

I agree with you 100%. If the people think Nagin is their man then I think we are looking at Dumb and Dumber!

I was thinking about the spin the article's headline gave. The devil is in the details. Folks who skim or just read the headline are going to come away with a different impression, which was intended, I'm sure.

Not the brightest voters in America.
I wonder how many thousands of dollars it cost to bus in those welfare voters from all over.
I'll bet their wasn't one Republican on any of those bus loads of preordained voters from the Democrat plantation.
I thought I saw a truck load of grave stones and markers pull up to one voting both.
We don't want to disenfranchise the dead now do we.

Shall we all feign surprise together?
Do these names indicate American professionalism, or instill confidence?
Alcee Hastings, Marion Barry, Cynthia McKinney, Sheila Jackson-Lee ... the list is exausting and so is the mental capacity of the electorate.

The people that believed that Ray Nagin was the best candidate for mayor probably also believed...
Bush was responsible for Katrina hitting New Orleans.
When the "white" areas of New Orleans were threatened, Bush blew up the levees.
There were hundreds of rapes and murders in the Superdome.
Sean Penn's boat didn't sink and he was able to save hundreds.
Scary.

Very few residents of black neighborhoods showed up to vote.. Developing...Judging from what I heard last night, it seems the only ones who did show up to vote were the ones who were bussed in.

The people that believed that Ray Nagin was the best candidate for mayor probably also believed...That government, any and every government, is the answer to their prayers.
Suckers.
