Here's a better link: http://www.pnlru.org/platform.htm

Here's an email I sent to our La Raza friends:

Dear La Raza:

Here's a quote from your platform:

Immigration

We see no human being as "illegal." Those who have arrived to the U.S. with heritage indigenous to the Americas, and specifically those crossing the southern border, are migrants on their own continent;

We work for the rights of all peoples from this position.

It's been reported that "illegal aliens" from the Americas going into Mexico are illegal, considered to be felons, are rounded up, arrested, often raped and tortured, before being deported. What does La Raza do to help those people?

Do you support the rights of white Americans crossing the southern border without permission from the Mexican government, without a visa, without a passport and with ID supplied by the US Consulates? Do you support the right of these immigrants to own property, to work without permits, to send their kids to free public schools, to get free healthcare services and to insist that government services be provided in the English language? In other words, are Gringos a people or non-people.

I doubt I'll get an answer, as your hypocrisy would be all too clear.

Sincerely,

Jabba

You won't need Arabic, only 2.7% of the British population is Muslim and only a tiny fraction of them speak Arabic as the majority are from Pakistan. We're still a 93% white anglo-saxon celt country whereas the US is only 81.7% white and that 81.7% includes latin americans which means if you don't count latin american as white, you are probably down to the high 60's or low 70's as a percentage. The US is much, much closer to having it's culture taken over than we are, sadly. (Source: CIA Factbook)

Personally I don't think you should have to speak anything but English - us Brits spent 500 years invading a quarter of the worlds surface and making a third of it's population speak English, so we didn't have to learn their languages! :D

I guess the two biggest problems you have is a very difficult to secure land border (God blessed Britain with a natural moat that has served us well for a millenium) and that south of that border is a third-world country desperate to have the jobs Americans don't want. Our nearest third-world countries are a continent away, unless you count France! :D

My inclination if I was American, would be firstly to take the bull by the horns and try to physically secure the border at whatever cost and secondly to introduce strong laws to discourage the large proportion of Americans (it seems to me) who turn a blind eye to illegals as long as they benefit financially.

Either way, I wish you all success in retaining your identity and culture.

8 usc 1325 entering the US unlawfully (misdemeanor first time, felony second time)

Ironic isn't it. All this screaming about HR4437 making illegals felons, and the purported compromise to a misdemeanor, still unacceptable, despite being more leniant or the same as the curruent unenforced law on the books. Of course the real killer in that bill is the automated employer check system.

We need a LAW passed MANDATING English as an official language.

It's in the Republican Platform, as is a guest worker program. Will you settle for one out of two?

How about Native Americans? Mexico always treated them kinkly. Ask any Apache.

Apaches, Navajos, Hopi, Pueblos are just more non-peoples. I guess La Raza would consider all non-human too, so we can see where the logic of La Raza leads.

The McCain-Kennedy Bill would allow not the current 11 million, but also the extended families of the the 11 million. This would total at least 30 million.

Why the GOP cannot pick up this issue and run with it, staggers me. Why Bush, McCain, Specter and a majority of the US Senate supports this act is just beyond my understanding. What do they get out of this? It's insane.

Ok, I'm going to stop calling them Ilegales for a while and start calling them criminales. The messkin spelling will identify who I'm talking about.

Except, of course, the ones coming INTO YOUR COUNTRY ILLEGALLY.

But I thought Mexico only had the southwest for about 20 years before they started f'ing us and we went to war and, like Israel in 1967, created us a little buffer zone to keep the wogs at a distance.

That's my mythology, and I'm stickin' to it.

The only one I settle for is the mandating English part.

A Guest worker program would be a nightmare.

The people pushing the guest worker program CLAIM they want more workers here because they can't get Americans to do the jobs that need to be done. What they MEAN is, they want to hire slave labor at low wages, with no benefits.
So, who will pay for their sick costs? The employer?? Hardly. The laborer? He won't be able to afford it.
WE WILL PAY. When they get sick they go to the hospital emergency room, not the doctor because they have no insurance. Hospitals can't turn them away. Since they can't afford to pay the hospitals have to counter the expense of caring for them by raising paying patients costs and get some money from the state - OUR MONEY - to defray the expense.

What about children born in the U.S. to "guest workers"? They become American citizens automatically.

What will happen with Guest workers is they will remain in isolated, unassimilated colonies - by design. Fit only for the lowest and most menial of occupations, with no chance of raising their condition, and retaining all their social customs, languages, and allegiances to other countries - mainly Mexico.

This is suicidal.

If we need more workers, raise immigration quotas across the board - bring in people from MANY different backgrounds so they can assimilate better. Get people who want to be Americans, learn our language and culture and add theirs to the mix.

We should stop pnadering to special business interest whose bottom line is the dollar, not what is best for America. Frequently the two are the same.
