Just wait until they find out that snakes have two male reproductive appendages. They will explain that humans evolved to need only one penile appendage.

Are these the same guys that say the earth is getting warmer? First off, the Earth is actually getting warmer - it's part of the cyclical nature of the global environment. Its the part about blaming this temperature change on human action that enters the realm of junk science.
And second, who are you referring to as 'the same guys', and what is the relevant connection between global warming and this story?

Imagine a belly dancer scooting around on the floor without using her arms or legs. Snakes are just better at it.

I just like arguing - lol. And I have no problem with animals adapting. My only problem is apes to humans.

Here's a great site on snake locomotion. Read it, and you'll understand all the different ways snakes get around:

You mean most animals change the shape of the lens, not the retina, for focusing. The retina stays fixed. And you mean snakes change the position, not the geometry, of the lens in order to focus.

Snakes are just better at it.Only a true herpetologist would say that.
Not being one, I'll settle for the belly dancer (as long as she's not a transvestite named Omar).

"All other vertebrates focus their eyes by changing the shape of the retina and using eye muscles to do so. Snakes focus their eyes not by changing the shape of the retina, but by moving the lens closer or further from the retina."
Should have said:
"All other vertebrates focus their eyes by changing the shape of the lens and using eye muscles to do so. Snakes focus their eyes not by changing the shape of the lens, but by moving the lens closer or further from the retina."

A new fossil discovery has revealed the most primitive snake known, a crawling creature with two legs, and it provides new evidence that snakes evolved on land rather than in the sea.
When did they evolve into politicians?
