So, Greenpeace now admits that their arguments against nuclear energy were specious at best or out right lies at worst.
We would not be in the position we are in now if national policy had not been set by CRACKPOTS! And now, when the country is in crisis in regard to oil prices, we are told, well folks after reviewing the evidence that has always been available, nuclear power is the way to go. Sorry. Further they show their purity of purpose and great knowledge by identifying themselves as environmental activists. Idiots. Our country could be brought down by oil exporters and a very active deadly war will result. With sufficient nuclear energy we could convert coal, oil shale, and tar sands into petroleum. This would enable us to support our allies and tell the oil dictators to eat sand. After reading the article I am convinced these self righteous people have no idea what they have done to our nation, indeed the world. GERRRRRRRRR!!!!!

We could do a lot more than that, so we could charge the batteries of the Prius and they can get that advertised 100 mpg and at the same time we can make Fresh water from Salt water, create Hydrogen for fuel cells, warm water for hydroponics, Natural Gas to Diesel and the list goes on and on and on.
Get Enviro Wackos and Government out of the way and we will do just fine, just one more reason for Term Limits and another reason that those that seek Political Office and think that it is a Career need to be fired and let them return to the body Governed. First shot over the Bow should be the Fair Tax, which rids us of the IRS, when that Institution bites the dust to much fanfare, the rest of these ingrate Govt entities will see the writing on the wall and they will bend or they will be gone as well.

I was in college near Philly (70 miles east) during the TMI episode. The two things I most remember in my own immediate life are: (1) we had a really hot gal living down the hall in our dorm who was from northern CA - her mother pulled her out of school and we never saw her again (waste of a good education and a great loss to our dorm); (2) I had to suppress laughter when my left-wing Poli Sci professor was absolutely red-faced furious at our college physics profs, who were telling everyone who asked (after the initial crisis had passed) that they were in no danger and that the matter was being misdescribed and misunderstood by the media, etc. How dare physicists tell the media (or poli sci profs) what they don't know about nuclear physics!!!!

I forgot "DRILL ANWR"
Sheesh ANWR, the Gulf, Florida, California and I wish they would find a HUGE reserve 50 feet from the Kennedy Compound and they (the Kennedys) would have NO Mineral Rights to it. (Life can't be that sweet, but it ought to be).

I absolutely agree with you. So much, so close, and just nitwits in the way. Well, it appears that reality is fixin to whack us on the nose. Then we citizens will team up, adapt, roll up our sleeves, and get to work building this great nation once again. Moulder used to rant about peak oil and its impact upon civilization. Well, we won't reach actual peak oil but IMHO we will get a political peak oil if events continue to unfold as have been recently. Net effect...more nukes, less imported oil, and the distinct possibility of being able to show the American people what liars and deceivers the left really is. I can hardly wait;)
