Actually, when you learn Hebrew as an adult, they give you a break and put in vowels ;) If you are ever interested, Kolel offers classes in a variety of locations.

Your statement is a classic example of willfully self-imposed ignorance cloaked as "faith". If that is a true statement of your beliefs, then, you would be right at home in 7th-century Islam.

From what I understand, the traditional Egyptian timeline conventionally acceptet by Egyptologists makes it impossible for the Exodus to be anything other than a myth.
However, there was an Egyptologist some years ago who pointed out some inconsistencies with the traditional timeline. He pointed out that instead of an unbroken succession, there was a lot of overlap that was not taken into account by Egyptologists.
As a result, he put together a new time line and found out some interesting things. I don't remember it all, but I do remember him asking why the Hittites were able to conquer Egypt - which was the superpower of its day. Furthermore, the Hittites expected to gain easy victories - which they did.

Jesus said:
He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.'

The need to explain God's miracles and power in view of our finite understanding is senseless.I respectfully disagree - otherwise why did God give us such inquiring minds and intense curiosity?

Years ago I read that, according to some oral history, YHWH was originally pronouced with 11 syllables. I've long since lost the source of that, and I have no memory of where I got it, so there. ;-)

Why do you think Moe, Curly and Shemp Horowitz of the Three Stooges changed their name to Howard. And they still got screwed.

And they still got screwed.
Financially, yes they did. Even when Moe (legally named Moses) went before the Columbia Pictures Studio heads to negotiate for better pay, they laughed & mocked him.
To this day, the Stooges descendents are trying to get their fathers' well-deserved gain.

Absolutely dead-wrong in almost every way. Yahweh occurs about 6823 times in the OT. Mean ar encouraged to use it, swear by it, worship in conjunction with it. Nobody doubted its pronunciation. Penalty only came for using it IN VAIN (Exodus 20).
The "v" is by way of German, most recently; but in German, the "v" is pronounced like our "w."

In the past year or so, archeologists also found the Pharoah's stables. Scoffers of the Exodus had said he couldn't possibly have had that many horses/charioteers, but it turns out he did.

Isn't that appalling...Arabs destroying caverns under the Temple Mount and hauling the debris off to the dump.

Appalling is the word. It's not carelessness, it's outright destruction. They want to erase our existence and our past. Some speculate that if the Ark is hidden in the caverns (possible that Solomon might have done this instead of shipping it off to Ethiopia), then they want to ensure it is never found. They are such a pathetic bunch.

Don't even get me started about what I think of what these Philistine heathens are doing, destroying ancient Jewish (and Christian) artifacts and hauling them off to the dump, trying to destroy any evidence of pre-religon-of-peace civilization in Israel and Jerusalem! But the Bible (Jewisn and Christian) make very clear that the opera ain't over yet, and there is One many times bigger and more powerful than these Philistine thugs, and He makes clear the Land and Jerusalem are His! They're in for a very rude awakening one day......they'll be confronted with trying to wrestle with the Almighty and His Angels!
