By 2010, the government plans to reconstruct
25 percent of the buildings in big cities,
15 percent in medium-sized cities and
10 percent in small cities for energy saving.

I feel that the reporter gave this a positive review at no time did he tell what it would cost in human misery to do this!

Ok so maybe some were rat infested places have to be scraped but, these people have no relocation assistance!

The ended up homeless!

Also maybe many of these places were not rat infested, but good homes that were labled enminent domanin (stealing)to enable those folks who covet!

Here in America Our Judeo-Christian laws or Ten Commandments
were diluted or made meanless!

Thou shall not bear false witness, steal, covet, lie, kill etc!

Good points.

Corruption is a hideous thing regardless of the country it's in.

When you think of how huge China is that is a lot of people and land!

Than you read where the computer giants like Google and Yahoo who are the first to undermind Charitable America which is the American People money that donate endless money by their tax dollards and personal contrabutions!

Even though there are unAmericans that hold seem to hold leading position in office this still is the American people that lay the golden eggs!

The thoughtless Google & Yahoo brats never remember that!

They talk about making the world a better place as they cut the legs off the Chinese who have been reduce to surfs suffing at the hands of the modern Feudal Government

Read between the lines to understand the related population reduction being planned.

The High Cost of China's Laogai
http://www.theepochtimes.com/news/4-3-24/20545.html

At 57 years old Wan worked until he could no longer accomplish this brutal task, and was beaten to death by his fellow inmates at the Lanzhou No. 1 Detention Center in China.

Who Uses Slave Labor?

Forced labor has become both a form a torture and a source of great profit for China. With the enormous amount of free labor that comes from Laogai, China has lured many overseas businesses into its profit-through-slave-labor system. With ridiculously cheap wholesale labor costs many cannot resist the bait and unknowingly come to support this illegal practice.

Common everyday products ranging from artificial Christmas trees, Christmas tree lights, bracelets, tools and foodstuffs, et cetera are among some of the products manufactured and exported from these facilities. According to a 1998 House Committee on International Relations report, companies who reportedly have or had products made in Chinafs Laogai are Midas, Staples, Chrysler, and NestleŒ. A recent report from one detainee in the Changji Labor Camp in Xinjiang states the Tianshan Wooltex Stock Corporation Ltd., a contractor to Changji Labor Camp, makes products for overseas companies such as Banana Republic, Neiman Marcus, Bon Genie, Holt Renfrew, French Connection and others. Orders from Banana Republic number between 200,000 and 280,000 pieces a year.

The products made in these facilities are produced by people who are forced to work in unsafe and unhealthy conditions. Detainees in Laogai have said that because of malnutrition, sleep deprivation and stress they often contract lice, scabies, hepatitis, tuberculosis, and other ailments. Sick detainees are still forced to work. Many are not allowed to take showers for long periods of time, allowing all manner of bodily substances to come into contact with the items they manufacture. These products are then shipped all over the world.
