"Is it not sensible to at least be suspicious of people who willingly identify with a 'religion' that calls for your subjugation or demise?"

Hey..I don't like Islamofascists either..but I digress..complaining is one thing, having a doable solution is another.

"Are you going to tell me that YOU would not feel like the biggest fool alive if you had known any of the hijackers before 9-11? Looking back on your desire to be 'fair', would you not feel guilt?"

I understand the need to vent and the anger but just pointing your gun at an entire group of people who are so widely dispersed just frankly sounds a little unrealistic doesn't it?

"If Islam disappeared from the planet WHAT would we lose? The human race- as a whole- would be MUCH safer and better off."

Hello!!! Earth to CBS...it's not gonna happen. There are too many of them..so now what?

MUST READ ping. (Good news from Iraq, and its perfidious suppression by the press. Excellent, and informed, op ed.)

Feel sorry for the people who are trusting Muslims in this country, right now, the way they trusted the 9-11 hijackers who lived among us.

You don't trust the Muslims who fight and die alongside our brave soldiers?

You don't trust the thousands of Muslims who gave their lives after joining the new Iraqi army?

You don't trust the hundreds of Muslims who are in the Iraqi police force and were killed in the line of duty or while standing and waiting just to enlist?

Yet there are Muslims that still enlist in the Iraqi army. And there is no shortage of Muslims that still want to join the Iraqi police force.

You soil the bravery of those fighting for freedom with your broad brush.

Think about this: you undermine our nation's strategy.

I place you in the company of Dan Rather, Cindy Sheehan, Ted Kennedy, Howard Dean and Al Gore.

Paid it a visit. Interesting. Know nothing about the site nor the reporter.

I'm no one in the grand scheme of things. I undermine no one.
I reject your placement of me in such hideous company- especially since Rather and the others just LOVE Islam and care more about being 'fair' to it than our safety.
This is about how I- personally- live my life. I know my enemy- it is Islam. It has announced itself very plainly.

Why does it bother you that I cannot- and will not- trust any Muslim? I'd rather be wary than dead- called a bigot than a fool. There are millions like me, that's what bothers you, and we gain more with every beheading, torture and terrorist attack.
Do I trust Muslims in the US military? No. And it saddens me to say that. Their 'religion' is at odds with their actions in defense of this country. Considering that we are at war with Islam, globally, I would prefer NO Muslims in our military at all.
Obviously, those who died in service must have believed in freedom more than Islam- which would consider them bad Muslims because of it.
I don't think the Muslims in Iraq who are volunteering are doing so for the reasons you want to think they are. Nor do I think their idea of 'freedom' is the same as ours. Their COMMON RELIGION precludes-and forbids- 'freedom' as we know it. Why do you assume their REASONS are ours? Make no mistake, those who fight alongside our soldiers want an ISLAMIC nation- and Islam will remain the enemy of all we stand for.
Iraqi, Indonesian, Tunisian,French, German, American- if you identify yourself with Islam, and believe what it stands for, then no- I don't trust you. Because I consider Islam sick and evil. I don't see any middle ground. There's no such thing as a 'little bit' Muslim any more than there is a little bit Nazi or cannibal.
I accept a self-described Nazi at his word, that he believes what Naziism stands for, and that he hates Jews.
I believe a self-described cannibal thinks it's good to eat other humans, and would have no problem eating me.
Why should I not believe that a self-described Muslim does not believe the world should be Islamic and subject to Islamic law over all?

Islam did not announce anything....it is a religion, not a person. You sound like gun control people who think all firearms are evil and can't see the good owners from the bad.

Islam being evil and Iraqis being good are not mutually exclusive arguments. Nice try though.

How can a religion be evil? It is a non-entity.

Either all Muslims are evil or not. Islam is nothing.

My previous post compares your thinking to gun control. The firearms are evil, regardless of who is using it.

DID I misread/interpret:

We're right in the middle of the action! I'm sorry ... I can't hear you! There's a Blackhawk landing right behind me! I can't quite describe what's going on! This is unbelievable!

At the time, you see, we were just outside an Embassy chow hall, quietly discussing the weather.

Religion is an ideology. Are you saying Nazism and Communism aren't evil ideologies? There were Nazis that followed the party beliefs to the letter (ala fundy Muslims that follow the Koran to the letter), and there were "Nazis" that didn't follow the ideology except to survive in their environment.

So, there were 'good' Nazis and 'evil' Nazis?

To your first point, Islam does not promote evil any more than christianity does. I have been down this road before and can match any Koran verse calling for killing with an equivalent bible verse.

Christianity was used by some to justify the mass killing of others. That does not make Christianity evil, just those that perverted it.

I guess Schindler's List doesn't ring a bell for you. Belonging to a party or religion to survive is different than belonging to it because you believe it in your heart.

Sounds like you went down that road with someone uneducated in the history of Islam.

Christianity was used by some to justify the mass killing of others. That does not make Christianity evil, just those that perverted it.

Your mistake is in assuming Islam is being perverted by the fundamentalists. The fundamentalists are just the most observant Muslims.

National Socialism and Communism were not people either. I do not trust any person that proscribes to the idealogy of National Socialism, Communism, or Islam. Hitler, Stalin, and Bin Laden are the people associated. Are you saying that "moderate" Nazis, communists, and Islamists should be embraced as partners in peace?

Now I understand you. You use the same tactics as liberals -- ie all conservatives are bigots, all Republicans are rich, all corporations put greed over ethics, etc.
