damn the Chicago Tribune....big picture of Iraq in ruins and the title CIVIL WAR! MSM bastardoes......GRRRRRRRRR.

Oh, good grief; they just have NO conscience, do they?? Is this TODAY'S paper??

There's not anything resembling a civil war here, but I guess the media thinks if they say it enough times, maybe that'll make it true.

I sometimes ask the Iraqis when they come in for work in the morning "Did you find the civil war out there in the streets on your way here?"

It has become a running joke with us now.

like most liberal statements and actions...the one thing they can't stand is EXPOSURE!!!!!
Thanks to, and to the detriment of the MSM, the Internet and sites on it like FR have given a forum to expose the lies, half truths, and out right anti American "doings" of the left.
How many times over the last 5 years has the NYT had to retract stories WHEN EXPOSED? (and they wonder why their circulation is falling) How many times has the MSM been shown to be completely wrong?

Exposure, the main thing Libs can't stand....notice after 9/11, how no one wanted to be called a lib? How the hildebeast had to move to the center? (don't ever believe it)...how just the notion to the far left that their "candidate" has moved has had her support
dwindled. Interesting times ahead for sure. The one thing to watch though, is how "cankles" maneuvers and positions herself, how she'll avoid answering the hard questions.

I do think Islam is evil.
I did read the article.
I have no doubt that media types selectively choose what they report, and have an agenda and an anti-American bias.
That said- there is not a Muslim on this planet that I trust.
Not a one.
Cordial chit-chat in Iraq, or a convenience store, or on an internet website means what?
Is it better that Iraq not have a civil war? Of course. Do we really expect thousands of years of tribal hatred to evaporate now? Dream on.
I sincerely DO hope it all works out as our President seems to believe it will, but I doubt it.
And I will never trust a single human being that believes in Islam. Not a one.

This momentum is even now sucking in the jellyfish RINOs who care more about getting their stupid gob on TV than about the critical crisis they are helping to perpetuate.

Immediately after the invasion of Afghanistan, McCain was on television, bleating away that we needed more troops on the ground. He's been critical about the war on terrorism ever since. He just couches his "concerns" in nice language, that makes him look like a statesman. I think his future intentions are not noble, and he would never see the WOT through until its end.

"Don't let the "All Islam is Evil" crowd read this."

"It demonstrates that there are many Muslims that are more intelligent and dedicated to freedom than some Americans."

Oh now, how could you be so naive. "Intelligent and brave" Americans will tell you they are all animals. Women and children included....mind-numbed little robots, subhumans with nonprogrammable unlearned little mutated brains incapable of comprehending the concepts of Democracy and Freedom, don't you know. There is no hope for any of them....they must all be exterminated like insects. /s

There's a general consensus that we are liars.

And it's correct.

Feel sorry for the people who are trusting Muslims in this country, right now, the way they trusted the 9-11 hijackers who lived among us.
Wonder if they think all the polite encounters with them, the small talk and pleasantries they shared as they lived-and plotted- among us, matter a DAMN in retrospect?
Save your pity for the next good-hearted but naive American who doesn't suspect the smiling Iraqi who just placed a roadside bomb.
Offer your pity to the Americans who saw Mohammed Atta every day, who trained him to fly planes, and TRUSTED him because he was polite and non-threatening. They feel like fools now.

"A slow death is much more fun to watch than a quick death."

As far as the MSM goes I completely agree. As you are aware the MSM is a 5th column in our midst. The longer they linger the more damage they do. Perhaps the best response to the Iraqi officer would to equate our MSM to a propaganda organ for their enemies and the left. And warn him about the danger the left poses to his newly formed nation.

Great post; if you are this far down the thread and didn't read the story, it is well worth the five minutes. It is so true that the MSM here doesn't give two sh*ts about the Iraqi people and how those same Iraqis are influenced by the news that gets translated from here and imported back into their nation. If we were in their shoes, we would certainly want information on the nation who is involved in our country. And what they get instead of hope is a pack of lies dreamed up by people whose only agenda is to send George Bush packing.

Thanks for your service to our country. You saw what you saw. You heard what you heard. You honestly wrote for us what you saw and heard.

Unfortunately for all of us, what you did, while typical of your own professional work, is an occurence so rare among members of the MSM as to be practically non-existent.

Just curious..should we kill them all worldwide? All 1.5 billion should die? Nuke 'em? Concentration camps maybe? What is your solution?

First of all, as everyday people, we could stop this "Kumbaya, I love you, you love me, if you smile at me and talk nice you are my friend and wuv me" BLIND TRUST of Muslims WHEREVER they are.ESPECIALLY HERE!
What do you not get about the fact that they have in common a 'religion' that calls for the subjugation of the world to Islam? I'm not ok with that.
Are we all not wary of pit-bulls because of the news stories about their violent attacks? At least the dogs aren't organized into a worldwide cult. Not all of them will go for your throat, but isn't it sensible to be wary of them?
Is it not sensible to at least be suspicious of people who willingly identify with a 'religion' that calls for your subjugation or demise?
Are you going to tell me that YOU would not feel like the biggest fool alive if you had known any of the hijackers before 9-11? Looking back on your desire to be 'fair', would you not feel guilt?
What would I do?
Outlaw the 'religion' as a cult and danger to the Constitution in that its goal is the destruction of said Constitution-and freedom of religion-in favor of Islamic law. I would effectively purge this country of all traces of Islam. Non native Muslims would be shipped out to the Islamic paradise of their choice- and I would STRONGLY urge native Muslims to join them. If they choose to remain they would no more be allowed to be Muslim than they would be allowed to be cannibals. Zero tolerance for sedition- a ticket to a more welcoming country would always be available. If I had to, I'd have an internment camp situation, but I'd prefer their deportation to feeding and housing them.
Worldwide? If they stayed in their prehistoric hellholes and killed each other off, I'd have no problem. But they don't, do they?
I would cut off ALL aid to Islamic countries. Can't see feeding people whose goal it is to subjugate me. We're fools that way- we think feeding and supporting the 3rd world will make them like us. All it does is support our enemies-who think us idiots for giving them $$.
At this point- with maniac Iranians threatening to nuke people- yes ,I'd just as soon see a preemptive strike.
We've TRIED living and let living- haven't we? For centuries.
It doesn't work with Islam and never will. It is probably stragegically impossible to kill them all worldwide- but I can't see how Islam vanishing from the planet would be a bad thing.
Would I feel bad if all 1.5 billion worked themselves into a screaming lather and spontaneously combusted-or all blew themselves up( as they do so love to do)? Not in the least! If Islam disappeared from the planet WHAT would we lose? The human race- as a whole- would be MUCH safer and better off.

If there were a way to DEprogram them, and erase Islam that way, that would be fine too; but that is fantasy. Ugliness like Islam will not go away prettily.
Minus Islam as a belief system,we'd still have the barbaric Arab culture to deal with, but at least a 'religion', that demands all other religions cease to exist, would experience the death it lusts after.
