I know enough English to know that a you could drive a semi full of Mexicans through a "virtual" fence.

Only a professional politician who wants to sound one way but act in another uses words like "virtual fence"

Kinda like when partial birth advocates say it's a procedure that should only be used to save the "health of the woman". Sounds good till you figure "health" could mean a headache.

But apparently you don't understand the phrase "The point is to secure the border..."

Are you sure you're not an illegal alien?

It is simply fantasy to believe that we will EVER deport 10 million illegals.

Why is that? Because you want them here? Frankly, I could never vote for a candidate who believed such a thing to be true. In World War II, an estimated 18 million Germans served in the Wehrmacht. Yet we managed to deport them from Paris...they had Panzers.

Securing the border is meaningless if we are to give these 10 million some sort of amnesty and launch a guest worker program.

Disagree with Allen all you like. Regardless of his views about the first trimester, he has long been a friend of the pro-life movement.

I'm afraid that it is you who have missed the point. I'm glad to see that you've thrown in the towel on trying to obscure Allen's personal support for first trimester abortions. This makes him an enemy of the pro life movement, or a hypocrite. Take your pick.

Because it's just not going to happen.

It is you who have miss the point, along with the facts:

Planned Parenthood gives George Allen an Anti-Choice rating of 0% (percentatage of time he's with them).

National Right to Life gives George Allen 100%.

From Project Vote Smart:

2005 Senator Allen supported the interests of the NARAL Pro-Choice America 0 percent in 2005.

2004 Senator Allen supported the interests of the NARAL Pro-Choice America 0 percent in 2004.

2003-2004 Senator Allen supported the interests of the National Right to Life Committee 100 percent in 2003-2004.

2003 Senator Allen supported the interests of the NARAL Pro-Choice America 0 percent in 2003.

2001-2002 Senator Allen supported the interests of the National Right to Life Committee 100 percent in 2001-2002.

2001 Senator Allen supported the interests of the NARAL Pro-Choice America 0 percent in 2001.

1996-2003 Senator Allen supported the interests of the Planned Parenthood (Senate) 0 percent in 1996-2003.

1995-2004 On the votes that the National Family Planning & Reproductive Health Assocation considered to be the most important in 1995-2004, Senator Allen voted their preferred position 0 percent of the time.

If this is an enemy of the pro-life movement, I pray they're all against us.

Alright, fair enough. Now explain to me why I should support the candidacy of a hypocrite who believes that aborting babies in the first trimester is alright, but votes against such a position.

I think he's been built up into something he really isn't by conservatives who seem to want another Ronald Reagan. I loved Reagan but Allen is definitely NO REAGAN.

Precisely, and after the past 6 years you'd think that more of us would have learned a lesson about doing that.

We seem to dislike Allen from different vantage points....

But we prolly can agree on this...Name an issue since he's been a Senator where he's been out in front?

The borders have been a disaster for years now....and "U.S. News and World Report. April 17, 2006 issue." he finally comes up with an idea that includes the meaningless but poll tested "virtual fence" nonsense"..... thats leadership?

Get over it already. He is a current sitting senator. His resume is invalid.

See the big picture.

Allen Statement on Judge's Ruling on the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act
"Late term, Partial Birth Abortion is a rare, gruesome procedure that the American Medical Association says is akin to infanticide. It seems to be fairly typical that an unelected federal judge in San Francisco tries to stop a law that received such broad bipartisan support in Congress. The Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act is a reasonable measure which reflects the sensibilities and will of most Virginians and Americans. I'm confident that eventually the Supreme Court of the United States will uphold the law as passed by the people's representatives in Congress."

Call Senate Democrats Bluff
Now is the time for Republicans in the Senate to "go for it" without timidity; we must not cower or worry about the Democrats' political reaction. The fact is, very soon we could see a vacancy on the Supreme Court of the United States. It's important that we put an end to these obstructionist tactics before we start piling up vacancies on the Supreme Court, as they are piling up in federal appellate courts around the country today.

We need to keep our promises to the American people. They expect us to act, not hide behind obscure parliamentary procedures and process. Americans voted back in November. Now they expect their senators to take a stand and vote, not to play petty, partisan process games.

"This procedural ambush to shut down legislative action in the U.S. Senate is a blatant political stunt. If the Democratic leaders were interested in discussing intelligence issues, they would have acted in a responsible manner. They chose deplorable political games rather than serious leadership.

That's gonna leave a mark! But based on their "debating skills" I imagine said mark will blend it among many others.

I don't know if George Allen will be the nominee or not. And I really don't care when we haven't even had the '06 elections yet. But he's a good conservative, and he's got my support.

OK, since you know who the nominee is, how about a hint on who the VP will be, the suspense is monumental.
