I'm not exactly sure when my mother's side of the family first came to the U.S. It was sometime in the late 1600's or early 1700's. They settled in the New York City area. My father came to the U.S. in 1913 as a small boy from Holland. He arrived at Ellis Island with is parents and two brothers. Several years ago I took my youngest son to Ellis Island to learn about their experience of coming to this country from a foreign land. I recommend a visit for anyone whose ancestors came through Ellis Island. It's an eye-opener. I think if they made it as hard to get into the United States today, as they did back when my father came here, you'd find a lot less people wanting to come here.

We are being overrun by people who do not value our culture or history.

Not only do they not value our culture and history, in the case of the Mexicans they have a very sharp animosity towards us. This is something that is taught to schoolchildren in Mexico and reinforced by print and electronic media that is 100% anti-American. The Mexican psyche is continually plagued by a feeling of inferiority which has been reinforced by our dominance over them for the past 160+ years. They absolutely relish any opportunity to "stick it to us", and the protesters are celebrated on Mexican national news for protesting and standing up to the US. Vicente Fox has on several occasions called them heroes, because the Mexicans see this as a historic struggle. It's past time we started doing the same and defending ourselves accordingly.

It was probably pretty easy to register the illegals after getting them all worked up. If anyone had asked about the status of any of the attendees, it would have been racial profiling.

Hello .... ???? voter registration for ILLEGALS ???

SOP, when they can get away with it.
IIRC, it's been documented that "B-1" Bob Dornan lost his House seat thanks
to about 800 illegals that voted.
Republican leaders "let it ride" and now WE (real citizens) are gonna' pay the price.

Oh, and IIRC, it is illegal for pollworkers to request personal ID of voters in CA.

"Hello .... ???? voter registration for ILLEGALS ???"

~~~~~~~~~~~
Sure, they're voting, and have been voting. Nobody can stop them either. It's what our pols know, and don't want us to know.
Article from 2004:
http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=15285
"Beyond requiring applicants to sign a pledge on voter-registration forms affirming that they are U.S. citizens, there is no way to prevent the nation's estimated 8 million to 12 million illegal aliens from casting ballots in November, area elections officials said."
