Debbie McQueen stood across the street from Armory Park holding a sign that said “No to Amnesty.” Someone tossed a couple of water bottles at her and a companion, but neither was hit.
McQueen said, “I’m here as an American citizen, not to protest, but to have my opinion heard as well.”

Let's pass a law: No more than 15% of legal immigration should come from a single country. Abolish all other diversity quotas and keep that one rule. let the mexicans howl; they cant treat US as a dumping ground for their labor pool.
Here's a brilliant idea. ... if its so necessary to do that for illegal aliens, why not abolish the FICA and income tax for ALL workers?
Let's add 'tax evasion' to the list of sins of the current illegal immigration flood.

Roughly 1,500 of Tucson High Magnet School’s 2,600 students were absent this morning and 200 more walked off campus. At Davis Bilingual Elementary Magnet School, 500 W. St. Mary's Road, the entire faculty of 16 was absent. But with only 30 students at the school, substitutes were able to cover.
I am disgusted by the schools' complicity in these offensive protests, wasting taxpayer money to advocate for a huge further burden on taxpayers. It's sad to think how many children will be ruined by the farce of bilingual education, and the ills of liberal indoctrination at the hands of these PS educator clowns.
I grew up and went to high school in Greeley, Colorado. I think back then our high school was 40 percent Americans of Mexican decent. I never heard of anyone in the school being illegal. Sure there were racial tensions, it was the early 70's and the brown berets were marching and beating up teachers. I have a lot more freinds who are of Mexican decent now, because I learned back then to put racism aside. Most people now are trying really hard to be color blind. Character matters.
The illegal supporters are trying really hard to make this into a racial issue. This is terrible for all of us. I am afraid that these kids that are walking out of school will become racists. Those in the Hispanic community have got to start to stand up to the racists in their own community, before they poison the youth.
This whole issue is about foreigners ilegally coming into our nation. Race has nothing to do with it. I don't care at all where they came from or what race they are, illegals are illegal.
Well, a foreign country is a whole new ballgame. I would be subject to their laws if I were there. But here in America I wouldn't stand idly by. However I would express to their government that I was offended by the burning. Not that much would get done about it but at least I'd be heard.

Good ... but CNN now has Anderson Cooper and is spewing a 'pro-immigrant' slant on it... the noble workers coming to work. fences wont work. yadda yadda yadda.

I think I know part of the reason that illegals are so afraid of this. All it takes is to put a bounty out on them and every citizen in the country can arrest them.
Heck, in Texas they would be authorized to use deadly force against them since they are committing a felony by just being here.
