...surgery set for 4...exactly as I logged on. Lord, Please watch over LibreMort and her family. Her doctors are operating on her now, please reveal what her ailment is to her doctors. Guide their deft hands and inspire them, for they are working on a dedicated servant of yours, one who has touched the hearts of many.

Mrs. Sionnsar, a.k.a. LibreOuMort, is now one hour into a two-hour surgery. The doctors believe there are two possible causes for the loss of the use of some of her foot:
1) pressure on the spinal cord from material from the disk that "blew out" leading to Tuesday's surgery (which pre-empted some other surgery she's going to have). They cleaned up one side based on the MRIs they had then. They will revisit that, but also will work on the other side.
2)Guillaume Barre Syndrome. I am now beginning to learn about this.
The doctors said if she's better tomorrow, it's the former. If she's not... they still won't know... we will have to see.
She's been very up today, a huge contrast to the fear we both felt when I brought her to the ER last night. When I arrived after church today she had the ward staff in stitches (ummm... maybe not the best term here). She's been a bright light to a lot of people here today, but soon the difficult waiting begins.
It was delayed until 5:15. About 45 minutes more.
Last time she took a couple of hours to recuperate from anesthesia, but the anesthesiologist said she will wake up "quickly" this time.
Laptop battery is getting low, so I need to shut down for now. More news as I have it...
