Thus ends the argument of bullet placement vs stopping power. However, when the dog owner said "They got me to sign a statement saying I approved of them shooting Mitch." you have to credit the British Police for having a "Permission to shoot your dog" form in their vehicles at all times.

The dog was probably a descendant of Cujo, IMO.

I bet a rolled newspaper would have worked.

Well, the dad should have picked up something sharper than a bread knife. I mean, give me a break. You might as well use one of those plastic sporks.

It is not a clip. It is a magazine!
Amateurs, Ugh!

Why didn't they just offer the dog a nice leg of lamb
or big juicy roast ...bet he would have dropped Junior
in a heart beat and ran off with his prize...

Mad dogs and almost ex-englishmen. Who would keep a
bull mastiff (not less, 2 of them ) around little
kids, without being a bit nervous?

The fact that the police need the form signed before shooting the dog is ludicrous.

There are 2 of these monsters living next door to me. The people keep saying, "they are so sweet, they won't hurt you". I put my hand over the fence for one of them to sniff and it bit me.
It could have taken my hand off at the wrist so I guess it was just being sweet. </sarcasm/>

Why is it called a KILLER DOG when it didn't kill anyone?

9MM is just not big enough.
The cops should have used a 45ACP or maybe a .357

Yes, ma'am, there appears to be a large dog mauling your son. Will you please take the time to sign these documents before we begin dealing with the problem.

When I saw the headline, I thought this would be a story on Randy Jackson. Different city, different dawg, apparently.

a 9 mm will put any dog down if shot between the eyes from the front or base of the skull from the back. It will kick for a while, but it will be dead. Problem with so many moderk cops is that they have never actually killed anything with a gun and don't know how.
