Just got off the phone with my bud from Kentucky. He was on his way out to the Main Gate to hang with the DC Freepers/PW's one last time before he goes back home.
He gave me a great rundown on what went on yesterday.
All I can say at this point, is that there were a LOT MORE of us, some seen, some not, who would just as soon used aluminum bats.
When that be-atch spit on the flag, my friends from the KY Guard decided enough was enough.
Those asshats have no idea how lucky they are.
God was on our side yesterday, because He gave those soldiers the strength to restrain themselves.

I'm hating my job right now, because I have to work all weekend.
I'll be back on the corner as soon as I can.

I just got to NoVa and was discussing this with a friend of mine. He saw something on the news/heard something on the radio about the activities yesterday, so I showed him the thread.

Anyhow, a tad OT, but does anyone know if Phelps and his group show up at various colleges/universities? We remember a couple (5-10) people always showing up in the springtime at UVA, congregating at the Com School/Garrett Hall bus stop, carrying signs about god hating us and screaming odd statements at the students in general.

I'll go check his site/look online for information, just wondering if anyone knows off the top of their head.

I know personally 8 of the soldiers in the first pic...how...i was a patient there for 7 months.you would not believe how incredibly close the soldiers are there,comming from all over the country yet acting as if they are family. it comes at no surprise that they were out front to counter the protesters. you will not meet a more patriotic bunch of men. even tho alot of us are angry for being injured we understand that it is the job we chose and harbor no hatred for our country or president. these sick #$%!! deserve a special place in hell and the sooner the better...to you guys that showed up to support the counter effort...Thank you...it means alot...the soldiers still stuck there need to know the country supports them.. and to the guys from mologne house...WHEN THE HELL YOU COMMIN TO HAWAII...beers cold!
