Weighing her is a waste of time. Race baiters are above the law. Perhaps congress can find something more productive to do with the time.

That's really her? Look at those eyes! Something terribly wrong there.

"Even though I don't agree with most of the agenda of the CBC, I don't think the majority of them are racist."

Would you say the same thing about the Congressional White Caucus? How about the White Entertainment Network? How about White Studies in every major university? Or how about the NAAWP? The monochrome coalition? Everyone one of these groups names screams racism yet would only be racist if "White" were actually used.

Anyone who associates with these racists are racists!

The groups you mentioned: Are there racists in the? You bet there are. Is everyone a racist that belongs to them? Not by a long shot.

I think McKinney is a racist.

If the cop was black, she wouldn't have clocked him

HE should file a civil rights charge against this ugly beast.

"There is another class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs -- partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs."

She says Capitol Police officers have a long history of failing to recognize her and asking for identification — a pattern she says is racist and in any case highlights a security problem in one of the most well-guarded buildings in the country.

Just when I think I've heard every dumb thing a Congress-critter can say...

The security problem is with the members of Congress who demand they be protected, but only insofar as it doesn't inconvenience them.

But her constituency will just keep sending her back to DC, won't they? Democracy's worst enemy is not despotism, tyranny, or totalitarianism, it's voter stupidity.

I guess we will just have to disagree on this on jazusamo. IMO when you join a group you make a statement about your beliefs. When that group is race based you are saying something racist. I trust you would not think some members of the KKK were not racists?

No, I believe every member of the KKK was racist. IMO, the difference is that many members of black organizations are members to help better their lives and bring others out of poverty and not there to suppress whites.

Many of the leaders unfortunately don't have the same goals, they're in it for the power and prestige and will do or say anything to further themselves.

I could be wrong but that's how I see it.

Patrick McHenry is not the Chairman of the CBC, he is a white freshman Republican congressman from North Carolina.

The chairman of the CBC is Melvin Watt, a Democrat from NC, and he is not the one who said he didn't mind being stopped whenever he didn't have a pin. Watt did refuse to join McKinney's press conference, though, which is certainly refreshing.

I fully agree with you there. You can tell that by the look on her face at all of her news conferences.

What members of black organizations are there to *better* the *conditions* of black people? Why are organizations needed to do this job?

Everybody should read Booker T. Washington.
