O Lord, we lift up Eric to you. We thank you for all your love and kindness. Please touch Eric and restore him to health, if that is in line with your plan for him. If you want him with you, though, we release him to you. Whichever way you decide, please let your great glory and lovingkindness be shown to him and to Secret Agent Man and his mom. We love you, Lord. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
I just want to thank everyone for their outpouring of concern and prayers for Eric. I am sure many more people are thinking of him and didn't have time to post. I am going up to see him tomorrow (I am not in the same city) to bring him some larger pictures of my mom's pets that he loves - two rabbits named Bailey and Cleo. I'm not sure what his condition will be, but I am thinking lately of Job at the loss of basically everything he had: "The Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh away. Blessed be the name of the Lord."
Hopefully he not taketh away just yet...
