"They say Democrats don't stand for anything. That's patently untrue. We do stand for anything," Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., joked at a recent press dinner. At least they included this!

I'd say he's getting much more criticism from Republicans over immigration than the "war". But the media likes that drum and they can only play one song.

So how many times are they going to run this story? I just "googled" AP writer Tom Raum. He's written a series of these "it's all over for the Republicans" stories -- just more journalistic masturbation.

"Thank you, ladies and gentlemen. I'll be here for at least the next 4 years. Tip your waiter/waitress and try the chicken."
Between the bad jokes, spinelessness, and transparent posturing....it's easy to tell it's an election year.

The Senate resumes work this week on a contentious immigration bill that pits Republican against Conservatives.
There, now it reads right.

If 90% of the criticism is because of Iraq, President Bush should now be vindicated since recent documents are showing Saddam's cooperation with Al Queda.

They point to Bush's immigration stance, mushrooming government spending and soaring deficits on his watch and his failed attempt to put White House lawyer Harriet Miers on the Supreme Court. Some complain about the growing cost and attempted "nation building" of wartime Iraq. These two sentences crystalize it all. The rest of the article is unimportant minutia.
We do not want RATs in power but we also do not want Republicans acting like RATs, and that is what we have. Conservative activists MUST continue to fight for the conservative cause, something neither party does for us.

Listening to some of the recent GOP criticism, Bush...offered an estimated 11 million illegal immigrants [Amnesty, through] expanded guest-worker programs... Yup, pardon my finger in your eye, Mr. Conservative.

Are we sick of this weather YET?
I can't take much more of it. It's been like nuclear winter over here.

How about that whopper of a poll they released over the week-end, for which they didn't make poll data available for, or so I heard.
The "poll" was re: immigration , should illegal "workers" be embraced and saying most folks want them to stay.
wow,, considering no poll before has shown such sentiment, seems something is amiss.

No blossoms yet here but I am seeing some leaves coming out on the fruit trees.
Another weeks worth and more possible, the Pacific is unstable. Ouch.
