Yup. I'm all for increased legal immigration. I would like it to be done rationally and with a lot of the loopholes closed such as any child born in the US is automatically a citizen. I think the person's parents (unless deceased) should also have to be resident here.

Under current interpretation if a pregnant illegal immigrant makes it across the border and drops her baby on the US side, the child is automatically granted citizenship. The baby may go back to wherever its parents came from and not understand what it means to be a US citizen. It seems strange to me that this is what the Founding Fathers intended under the Constitution when they felt strongly enough to prohibit non-native Americans from becoming President.

I'd also like English to be declared the official language of the United States as it would help assimilate people faster.
