My hope is not in earthly things.

You can thank our leaders over the past 40 years for the embarrassment.

Imagine if it backfires?!

Imagine if some inteligent industrialist uses the chance to promot their agriculture robot to pick tomatoes or any other crop.

Imagin if someone developes a better way to drywall or build homes with fewer humans.

This strike could be the best thing for the ecconomy.

The only solution, says the Mexica Movement, is to expel the invaders of the last 500 years, force them to pay reparations and return the continent to its rightful heirs.

So are all of the members of the "mexica movement" with Spanish ancestors going to leave as well?

And why just 500 years? How about 1500 years? That would be before Muhammad...we could simply have the muslims give up all their territories they've conquered since then...of course they won't have any place to go.

I'm sure they'll find someone to take my order at Wendy's just as good as these guys can.

At least the people who'll be taking your order will understand English and will get your order right for a change.

I's say shame but those willing to sell our culture down the river for votes have none.

I've said it before but I'll say it again: I'm glad I have no children. There is nothing left to bequeath them. I hope Atlas Shrugs soon. I'll be some patheic Eddie Willers that dies on a train track, but we must all know our true place in the world.

I am no Prince Hamlet, nor was meant to be; Am an attendant lord, one that will do to swell a progress, start a scene or two... Hell, I should have been a ragged pair of claws scuttling across the floors of silent seas.

It was a republic. But we could not keep it.

Darn, I meant to add this to the bottom of my above post. The organizations involved right now in organizing the marches and walkouts are very careful about their language. They can say "let's overthrow the government" as long as they don't advocate using force or violence to do it. It's a very thin line, so we need to be vigiliant in the things we are seeing at these rallies. If you see anything that advocates using force or violence you should gather all the proof you can and report it.

I wish the employers would fire each person who doesn't show up for work that day and replace them with an American who is willing to do their job.

Armando Navarro is nuts. Let them strike. If they strike we will all just do as other posts have said improvise and get on with our lives. Or we will make machines to pick crops. I am all for them striking now. I want to see what happens if the mexicans strike. I never before disliked anyone because of their nationality but I am afraid I am going to. If I see one more mexican flag I think I will scream. I am all for people coming here to make a better life but do it legally!! Armando Navarro says we are invaders? Hes a safety threat to America.

A day without Latinos? Sounds like a dream come true to me. My wife and I can each enjoy our commutes to work knowing that most of the uninsured vehicles are off the road for the day.

If the rest of the country is like here it's almost impossible to actually fire anyone. They are afraid of being sued. About a decade ago I worked for a company that had a guy that just could not do his job. Previously he would get great performance appraisals (employee reviews) so he could move from group to group. When a supervisor, with an actual spine, was assigned this guy and he failed at every task he was assign she decided to fire him. It took a year and a half gathering paperwork, independent reviews, additional training and other nonsense. When she finally fired him he sued the company. Of course the company caved to avoid a public lawsuit. It was a scam from the onset.

I think that's why many companies use contract help rather than hire a person. It's much easier to fire some one. I had to fire a contractor once because he damaged basically everything he touched. It took less than 5 minutes to revote his pass, cancel his network accounts, escort him to the front door and have his contract ended.

So, here's the plan.

First, we leave our crappy third world hell hole, because our leaders and our economy suck, and we can't get jobs.

Second, we'll get jobs in the USA, by sneaking around, doing whatever it takes to get some work.

Third, we decide to...not work. Like, quit working. Go on strike.

Logic was never their best option.

I see. So if these Marxist sponges calling for a boycott stop taking welfare, don't go to hospitals for free taxpayer health care, abandon schools they don't pay taxes for, and don't collect food stamps we paid for, that will paralyze America.

Cool. Go for it.

I know that you're right. Ain't it scary. That's pretty close to the situation in France.
