Don't laugh. In one semi-famous case (was it Hurricane Carter? I don't remmber) another inmate, who was dying of natural causes admitted to having committed the murder and the actual perp walked.

Why not 250 Trillion...makes no difference....the state has already found the killer and he is their son. All of which they obviously know....so their financial exposure is nil..notta...zero.
