The folks on the Arizona State Board have a contribution, but their source's web site is down. The East Valley Tribune (Mesa, Tempe, Apache Junction) has a report of kids at an Apache Junction High School burning a Mexican flag as a counter protest to this week's events.
Why do you keep saying it is all about the money with Tancredo? I think it is much more likely that the pols, Republican and Democrat, that are pushing this amnesty are getting big bucks from the open borders/big business lobby. Why else would weathervane politicians be going against the wishes of 70-80% of the electorate? To cross that many people, there is very likely a huge financial incentive in it for them.
Post 60 is most excellent.
I can't believe so many people are defending the illegals and just plain don't get it.
What do they think will happen to their jobs when enough illegals get into the country to take ALL the jobs real Americans once had?
No more middle class. Many millions more of left-wing voters.
This is a good presentation of HOW we OUGHT to do things. I admit there is a problem but yet there is another deeper problem; the 'illegals" don't go back home (re. Mexicans). There is an acute need for the type of AGRICULTURAL work these people provide (witness the annual "invasion" of Canadians to help harvest the vast potato fields of Maine, but they go home when it's over)so while I want to "keep 'em out" I think we'll have to solve the overall problem too. MAYBE Bush is on the right track.
true. the current civil unrest & the innocents in the way concerns me now also
To some extent, he is. I think we all recognize that seasonal labor is going to be the province of 'guest workers' for some time to come.
Giving them a path to citizenship, OTOH, is flat wrong. And the fly in that ointment is the foreign laborer who comes here with no intention of assimilating into our culture..the illegal who doesn't mind breaking our laws.
These kids have been BRAINWASHED!
And don't ever forget that the first thing they did in this land the very first moment they stepped on our soil (OUR SOIL, NOT THEIRS!), by the mere fact that they entered illegally, was to flip their middle digit at our legal system.
Thanks, DollyC...
I've been studying this situation for some time now and it occurs to me that it's time to turn the tables on Mexico. Since they have a labor shortage due to all the workers crossing our border, we need some brave volunteers to cross their border in droves and start applying for jobs. Turn about is fair, doncha think?
BRAVE souls ...... whoooo boy.
Oh, I do need to redo something with your post. They don't apply for jobs ... they're gonna DEMAND them, because you see. They're only doing the jobs that Mexican's won't do!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
*sigh*
there is a humorous joke out that I cannot find in my 4200 + email messages. It is about What would happen if.. and gives alot of scenarios.. US cit goes to Mex & demands etc. Maybe someone with better organization than I can put their hands on it
Yeah...I've seen that one. ;)
My hopes are rising everytime I see someone posting like this. Write him and urge him to run as an independent (as much as I hate to think of my wasted vote for Perot).
Fantastic post Dolly!!
:-) hehehe
Thanks Potlatch.. those are the "chair's" remarks that I posted...
