And the intent of those who passed the 14th Amendment was never that aliens, especially illegal aliens, should receive citizenship either.

"All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside."

Could you point out where your interpretation is supported by the Supreme Court?

look at a recent case in NYC - several firemen died in a building, the landlords had converted it to single room apartments, had 20 people living in what should have been space for a family of 4, overloaded electrical, etc. it was a deathtrap. those are the kinds of housing being setup in cities and suburbs all over the US, and there is huge money to be made by landlords.

in this case, the landlords are now facing charges in the deaths of the fireman - I was over-joyed to see them charged, I hope they get prison time.
