So people who refuse to obey the existing laws will obey this one that requires them to pay $$$ to the gringos? ROTFLMAO!
Mr. Will...did you just flush your brains?
To fracture an old saying "Where there's a Will, there's NO way"
Neo-conservative, Paleo-conservative, Faux-conservative, Republican; call me anything you want to. I am an American who want to protect this country from an unlawful invasion. Throw the bastards out and punish those who encouraged them to come here.
So, to help us "less enlighten" please describe how you are going to first find and then deport, 11 million people from this country while,at the same time keeping order and helping improve the economy. No brown shirts are allowed,
After the border is secured:
Jail employers of Illegals.
Cut off all welfare and social services for illegals.
Illegals will "deport" themselves.
THE MISSING LINK to those who try to reconcile and gyrate over the 'politics' of the issue...
G Will's argument of creating a subclass of citizens goes right out the window if the entire lot of these law breakers were rounded up and deported immediately...
In fact his aversion to a perceived stratification should welcome a cleaning house policy that puts everyone outside the border and in line for proper assimilation...
I grow weary of the pretzel gyrations the apologists, both Pubbie and Demon foist...
BUILD THE WALL, ARM IT, ROUND THEM UP, SHIP THEM OUT...PROCESS LEGITIMATE ENTRY REQUESTS...
In practical terms...its pretty damn simple [stupids]...
"But the price of lettuce might rise ten cents . . .
--Dane"
Lettuce is for rabbits.
The last person to pass judgement on what true conservatives should believe is George Will. This is what he once said about the Second Amendment;
-----"Whatever right the Second Amendment protects is not as important as it was 200 years ago... The government should deconstitutionalize the subject by repealing the embarrasing Amendment"
Ah. The "brown shirts" comment. Charges of racism is one of the last refuges of a nitwit who has lost the debate. You'd make a great DUmmie.
Finding them is easy.
1. All employers granted amnesty for prior misconduct if, and only if, they provide the names and contact information for all suspected illegals in their employment. Draconian penalties for those who do not cooperate and for those who continue to employ illegals beyond 07/04/06.
2. All public education institutions should be required to provide the names and addresses of students enrolled who not U.S. citizens. Failure to cooperate will be the basis for withholding all federal funding to such institutions.
3. All financial institutions are required to provide names and addresses of customers who are not U.S. citizens. Failure to cooperate will be grounds for seizure, forfeiture, and sale of assets under RICO.
Deporting.
1. Voluntary. Illegals who leave prior to 07/04/06 will not be prosecuted for felonies.
2. Post-07/04/06. Pay local law enforcement $ 1000 for every illegal caught and turned over to ICE for deportation.
Economy.
Speed up the processing of visa applications of those who have applied legally to come here and have not broken the law by being here illegally.
You know I think I see a pattern here.
The Libs want more illegals, as that is what they think "Hispanic" voters want. The African-American vote is in the bag and can be taken for granted. The Hispanic vote is now larger than the A-A vote, and is divided. Thus, more work for the Hispanic vote.
Yet, It is the young African American who is hurt moset by the illegals. The unembployment rate for unskilled blacks is twice that of similar whites. Could these illegals be taking the jobs and driving down wages that unskilled black and white workers had in the past? Could these jobs that "Americans wont do" mearly be jobs that employeers want to pay less and give less benefits to the workers?
Perhaps that is why the GOP thinks it should support these weird amnesty programs.
A better plan has those here illegally deport themselves. The truth is that the vast majority of those here illegally aren't here because of political or religious persecution at home. They're here for the money. People like to say "a better life", people like our president, but it's not for the free speech or right to vote that they're here. It's the cash, and until we can make it unprofitable for people to come here illegally, we can expect nearly every one of the 500 million living south of the Rio Grande to try and get here until the wages here are the same as their wages at home.
To get them to leave by themselves, you have to make the choice of leaving cheaper than staying. Give them all 90-120 days to get their affairs in order and leave. Any illegal found here after that loses everything - house, car, bank account, everything right down to their clothes on their backs. And they would have to pay a fine and do jail time before deportation. And they would become felons so that they could never become US citizens. If they leave early, they can keep it all. America doesn't mind if foreigners own property here, unlike Mexico. Those with US-born children could take them back home or give them up, but they couldn't use them as an anchor if they don't leave on time. Most illegals, given that choice, would load up the pickup and enjoy the drive home.
Perfect...I nominate you to run for President...
Brilliant...make it 'hurt so good'...
I think Will's bow tie is wound too tight.
Blacks and hispanics are fighting tooth and nail for power in Dallas. The perception is that blacks earned the perqs of affirmative action (reverse discrimination) and the hispanics waltzed across the border and stole the perqs. At least in the city, both groups vote Democrat.
Just an observation.
