Journalism is alive and thriving in Iraq -- in Iraqi newspapers. The U.S. Embassy issues a daily translation of events in Iraq as reported in Iraqi newspapers. However, from an analysis of reporting in Iraq and reporting from Iraq I can guarantee you that the US media in Baghdad does not bother with information the Iraqi press feels is important to Iraqis themselves.

Excuse me MSM idiots, if things were that bad in Iraq you would be having a huge population movement OUT of Iraq. Since that is NOT happening except for the HUGE influx of TERRORISTS into Iraq, things must be getting better. For instance, I bet the electrical power situation has improved, as has the clean water availability, the Baghdad stock market is up, GDP growth is forecasted up etc, etc., so if I were Logan I would STFU.

Also, any indication how many feet Logan has ever traveled from her hotel lobby? When she still worked for the British news media, she was known nationwide as "Lara '34d' Logan", not just for the way she brazenly uses her breasts to get sources to talk to her, but also due to, shall we say, "suspicions" that a hell of a lot of her male colleagues got to confirm her bra size up close and personal.
That she is now CBS' chief foreign correspondent speaks volumes about how far that news organization continues to fall. Back in Murrow's day, someone like her wouldn't even have been allowed to fill out an application to work in the mailroom.

"Bill Maher ended his HBO show Friday night, Real Time with Bill Maher, with a tirade about supposed efforts by the Bush administration to suppress information about global warming."
Maher has to be one of the most biased, and let me say, dishonest "journalists" out there.
I saw one of his "NOW" programs, about an election in the Carolinas and how Republican values would effect the poor, then obtained the transcript for analysis.
I must admit, the program was well put together and there were some great quotes. It even give the appearance of being unbiased since there were interviews with conservatives too. However, every single one of these conservative statements that were aired, only supported Maher's liberal viewpoint that the poor would suffer. There was not one single interview that explained or defended the conservative viewpoint.
I later saw one of his "Real Time" shows, the one that dealt with the Belsan, Russia School Massacre. After the documentary video of the massacre was over, Maher and company started right in, comparing Putin to Bush, citing Russia's war with the Chechen rebels to be a failure,
just like Bush and his war with Iraq, and calling both another Vietnam.
What was most egregious of all was Maher claiming that these "freedom fighters" were in no way related to Al-queda. That may be true, but in the video, you could clearly hear the murderers yelling, "Allah Akbar" as they ran through the school shooting kids and teachers, and setting off the bombs. Maher could not bring himself to say that these were clearly Islamic/Muslim terrorists.

I wish I could strap a lie-detector machine to all the lib "journalists" who have their "unbiased" swill about the war printed in all our major leftist rags. It would most likely reveal them as cheerleaders for defeat. Let's be blunt, they all want the Iraq war, plus the Afghanistan war, to fail and fail miserably. That's how much these creeps hate Bush and their own country by extension.

How far are the restaurant, bar and her room?**
I'm not posting all the pictures on FR, but here is a link with quite a few pictures on her. There are several with her wearing the "battle rattle", so I'd bet she was not in a hotel or bar.

'Oh, sorry, we can't take to you that school project, because if you put that on TV, they're going to be attacked about, the teachers are going to be killed, the children might be victims of attack.' 'Oh, sorry, we can't show this reconstruction project because then that's going to expose it to sabotage. And the last time we had journalists down here, the plant was attacked.' Gosh, I saw no such restraint when it came to reporting on Abu Graib, or the bogus "flushing the Koran down the toilet" story. Suddenly the media develops a conscience? I don't think so.
