We will have to agree to disagree on the fence then.
Where did you get those talking points? I've seen too many references today with the exact word "sellout" to be a coincidence.
"...millions of other on the right that will leave the party and take their dough with them."
Been there. Done that. After the Harriet Miers appointment. No more $$ to RNC. Now registered Independent.
Where did I "get" the "talking points"???
Are you ever able to think, formulate an opinion, and express it for yourself?
My definition of "sellout" - a Republican Senator that ran on promises of restoring law and order to the Federal government, shrinking the ever-expanding encroachment of the government, and voting into law those things that conservatives hold dear. Then, when push comes to shove, they vote for illegal alien amnesty.
Maybe the reason you've seen so many "references" to the archaic and complex word "sellout" today is because MANY OF THE GOP SENATORS ARE SELLOUTS, AND SHOULD BE VOTED OUT OF OFFICE ALONG WITH THE RATS.
Dumbass.
Republicans won California in Presidential elections in:
1952
1956
1960
1968
1972
1976
1980
1984
1988
That's 9 out of 10 years Republicans won California between 1952 and 1988. Only in 1964 did California vote democratic.
California was a clearly a strong Republican state prior to 1992.
Prop 184, which was backed by then Republican Governor Pete Wilson, was passed in 1987 but was later overturned by the courts. It would have denied illegal immigrants social services, health care, and public education.
Every election since then California has gone democratic.
I think the facts speak for themselves.
If you don't want to answer the question, that's fine - it was not just you 2 using the word that elevated it from "coincidence" to advanced "talking points" - we will have to agree to disagree on the rest.
I've posted lots of reasons here on these threads - the 2 biggest are the cost/benefit analysis and, even if it saved us some money, what does a "Berlin Wall" do to the noble ideals of America?
"You never did answer why you think Holy Communion to illegal aliens should be criminalized."
I don't remember ever making any comments about Holy Communion. But if you're talking about amnesty, read on...

American Illegals Marching On Mexico City
(excerpts)
We cannot work here, complained John Smith, a resident of Tijuana. They tell me: Mexico is supposed to be for Mexicans.
Jane Johnson, a long time resident in San Juan Costa Rica, has lost her job with the American company where she had been working for the past four years. She had been trying to find work with the local company, but was told that All the opportunities in our country are for Ticos (Costa Ricans), and that Americans are not eligible to work here, We do not hire foreigners!
Police with dogs and water cannon, aided by the local immigration officials with batons and night sticks started dispersing the demonstrators. There were army trucks nearby and riot troops were called in. The protests attracted crowds of angry local onlookers many of whom were chanting Gringos! Go back to your country! Some members of the crowd grabbed the American flags that the protesters were carrying and started stomping on them. Many hit the Americans while shouting You accursed Yankees, get out of our country! at them.
Keep reading that thread - it is satire.
Back on topic, you wanted certain Church acts criminalized, but never answered my specific questions: "Even if it is just "one hot meal and a single night's shelter"? How about if it's just one wafer during Holy Communion?" You hopefully agree with the Durbin amendment protecting THAT much charity, right?
"Keep reading that thread - it is satire.
It may be satire to you, but having living on the Mexican border for over sixty years, it's truth to me!

I think you responded to the wrong person's comments.
When my sister had a house built by Ryan Homes, they had a crew of real masons and painters and carpenters to touch up the cosmetic mistakes the Mexicans made. Lots of mistakes aren't readily apparent and show up later. By then Ryan has your money.
I listened to Frist last night on H&C. He is still as big a wimp as he ever was. I'm feeling a sense of doom; can't believe this is our country.
No, I asked YOU those questions on March 24th: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1601841/posts?page=274#274
As for "satire" or "truth", are you joking? If not, please post ONE real news story of American citizens demonstrating in Mexico and "Police with dogs and water cannon, aided by the local immigration officials with batons and night sticks started dispersing the demonstrators. There were army trucks nearby and riot troops were called in. The protests attracted crowds of angry local onlookers many of whom were chanting Gringos! Go back to your country! And your solution is to let even more illegal immigrants into the country so that the rest of the states will be democratic as well?
I don't agree with your premise, but even if it is accurate it is better to stop the bleeding now so that it is contained to California.
