New Jersey taxpayers would have been better off. But no shocker there.
wow....I cannot believe this is from the AP
I like him better in NJ. He can only screw up one state, and after all the corruption of a couple of years of NJ govt, his political career will be finished.
If Corzine had stayed in the Senate, he would have been reelected with little trouble. But now, the GOP has a good chance of picking up his seat. I know this gives little comfort to the over-taxed citizens of The Garden State, but it will result in one more vote for Constitutionalist Federal judges.
If I was writing that sentence, I'd delete "situation now is similar to" and replace it to "is worse than." Corzine is worse than Jim Florio- by the end of this clown's 4 years, New Jersey will have the worst tax burden in the entire country, will surpass even California in terms of liberal policy, and will be an economic disaster zone.
And then New Jerseyans will re-elect Corzine, because in New Jersey, the above is actually considered progress.
Almost expect the AP writer to be fired.
I questioned Tom Kean at a recent JSA (Junior Statesmen of America) Convention. He's no constitutional Federalist. But he's better than Menendez.
Add up one more tally for the tax cuts and patriot act, but dont count on him for the judges.
That's why Trump would never run.....
If he ever won he would get bored in a month.
I wouldn't count on Kean Jr. accomplishing anything, including getting elected to the Senate.
Why should any conservative vote for a candidate that is afraid to be seen with the Vice President?
Don't count on it. This state is full of ignorant voters, on both the right and the left. We already know what idiotic choices the left makes in NJ, but you may not be aware of the idiotic choices the right has made in NJ. In fact, some of our very own FReepers helped put an incompetent candidate up against Corzine last year (Forrester) by voting for the most far-right candidate in the NJ GOP primary (Lonegan)- a guy who had no chance at winning- essentially taking votes away from a moderate-conservative that could have at least had SOME differences from Corzine (Schundler). As a result, Corzine had no problems winning- Forrester was a Corzine clone, only he ran GOP. I'm pretty sure a sizable part of the right in NJ refused to vote for Forrester in November, helping Corzine out even more.
Now, these same FReepers are running around calling Tom Kean a "RINO" and saying they'll refuse to vote for him. Gee, that sounds like a real good way of bringing NJ back to the GOP. Sometimes, the "send a message by boycotting or voting for the most far right candidate" just becomes stupid. Kind of like New Jersey itself: stuck on stupid.
I'm sure I'll get flamed for posting this, but the truth is the truth. NJ Republicans have to wake up, especially the FReepers who essentially helped put Corzine into office last year.
I hate to admit it but, I think I'll stay home on election day. Kean Jr., lost my vote last week.
"Life as a low-ranking member of the [human race]..."
Because he's running in New Jersey, not known for supporting the Bush/Cheney administration or conservatives in general.
I'm not thrilled with Kean myself, but you couldn't possibly want Bob Menendez to win a full term.
I don't care how "tight" some government budget is, taxes do not need to reach astronomical levels. Better to cut the budget, and lower taxes will spur the economy.
Corzine promised property tax relief, but first he is going to raise property taxes - by a lot! What a bunch of misguided liberal BS.
Republicans should use Corzine as their dem poster child starting right now for the '06 elections.
Sand dune=levee
Spoken like the defeatist republicans who have buried this state. Get out and vote. The president needs teh vote in teh Senate. The state needs a voive against the dem corruption.
"I hate to admit it but, I think I'll stay home on election day."
Me too. I am more than willing to vote for another Olympia Snowe or George Voinovich. But I won't put another Lincoln Chafee in the Senate.
OH, come on. Give him a chance. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Sorry, I TRIED to say it with a straight face.
