I've said a dozen times, Homeland Security is just another worthless POS dept. sucking more taxes from American taxpayers. Tom Ridge's dopey color-coded alert chart, to incompetent TSA bozos.

If the government were run like a business, it would be bankrupt... Oh wait, what's the national debt?

Simple friggin solution:

1) Build the wall (the Pentagon was built in 18 months in a swamp in 1942)

2) Deport every illegal alien

3) Dissolve Homeland Insecurity

4) Monitor and report monthly to the DoD

Just an observation from someone who lived on that border for 25 years...Other than the IED's, this has been going on for decades along the Texas border. These items have been going INTO Mexico from the US side in exchange for drugs because they are "illegal" in Mexico. They are worth about twice in Mexico what they cost here in the US. The IED aspect is new and hopefully the alarm bells are going off with the feds. If not, collect more ammo.

The only line of defense Texas has are the brave sheriffs of 16 border counties that met last week in El Paso. Our pretty governor was not at the meeting because it may have been his beauty shop day...for his campaign photos, you know. These terrific sheriffs are the ultimate arm of the law and are getting threats agains themselves and their families from the Mexican criminal who are invading our country 24/7 and those on need to rise up soon and let these lawmen know that we are there to help them, because our Texas governor and our Texan president are AWOL in this war.

Homeland Security sent a confidential memo in January to our Border Patrol agents warning that they could be the targets of assassins hired by alien smugglers. The alert states that the contract killers will probably be members of the vicious MS-13 Mara Salvatrucha street gang (whose 17-year-old killers will be protected from capital punishment by a recent U.S Supreme Court decision).

Not if field sentences are carried out.
