God Bless Texas.
God Bless our brave law-enforcement officials, who risk their lives every day to protect their fellow citizens.
Shame on our spineless politicians who fail to take any and all necessary measures to seal our borders and protect them and us!
"We take it seriously, but we have to take it alone because we can't get the Department of Homeland Security to back us,'' said Sheriff Arvin West, with the Hudspeth County Sheriff's Department, who attended the sheriffs' meeting in El Paso. "I'd like for the general public to pray for us.''
clawrence3, and your comments are?
Students from Huntington Park High School march in a demonstration Friday, March 24, 2006, to protest against legislation cracking down on illegal immigrants, in Los Angeles. People rallied across the country Friday to call for humane immigration laws, from students who walked through traffic in Los Angeles to Milwaukee workers who held a work stoppage called "A Day Without Latinos." Passive Aggressive Invasion and Re-conquista demonstrations Throngs of illegals and legals marching on America's streets carrying another nation's flags like an invading Army...

The transition from "Voting Republican" to casting a more Intelligent vote for a true conservative takes more research than most voters are willing to commit to. I myself was guilty of doing as you say and until we can get past this aspect of electing politicians the change you and I seek will continue to ellude us. The Republicans-Democrats and any other party affiliations will be very pleased to receive your vote as a rubber stamp instead of a well thought out and planned approach to who gets your vote. When we vote that way unfortunately we cut the head of the nation off and nothing changes. This is why I say again and again a grassroots uprising has got to grab hold and we must become "ISSUE" oriented not party affiliated only. J. C. Watts of Oklahoma was one legislator who knows exactly what I speak of. We desparately need people of his strength and understanding of the "ISSUES"!
JC Watts is a great guy and he is a Republican. He was voted in by people who rose up against the RINOS and put in a conservative with their own ideas.
We have to do the same thing - over and over again. The work never stops - issue by issue. You have to organize and work a party to get what you want by shaping it with people who support your ideas. Why do you think homosexuals own the Democrat party? Because they worked the party and elected a lot of people they want in power to support a very unpopular position. Why don't they run from the Democrat Party when they don't get their way? They look at a defeat as a setback in longer war for dominance. That is the way it works. There is no "instant" results in our system of government.
What a sad state of affairs our sorry government is in that they won't even back our Border Patrol officers. This was on Albuquerque news tonight, so the threat was extended for NM also. We just had a deputy gunned down a couple of nights ago. There's just nothing as sad as when an officer is killed. Prayers will go out for all of our border officers, as well as all of our Leos and first responders!
Alfred E. Bush - "What, Me Worry?"
I called to give support and prayers to Sheriff Arvin West. Very corteous person answering the phone. I encourage everyone to do the same.

Amen to that.
