here is the thing, Terri was still alive no matter how bad her brain was damaged. As long as your brain still has some life there is life. She was not brain dead. There are many people in the country who have brain damage. Do, we say since their brain is somewhat mush they should just be left to die since they are not all there as a full person? Who is to say what life is not worth living? God is our master and playing God by allowing someone who was able to breath on her own, and had some brain activity left to die of dehydration is murder. My grandfather died of cancer and we were told that when he feel unconscious he did not want food or water. He died only a few days later naturally, but even then we were compassionate and put water drops on his tounge and a wash cloth to moisten his mouth and lips. For pete's sake, Terri's husband wouldn't even allow a tiny drop in Terri's mouth to moisten her lip or tounge while she was be dehydrated. That is sick and disgusting! There is nothing compassionate about that, not one thing!

Of course, Jodi gets to eat all she wants and be a fat pig but Terri was denied even a drop of water on her tounge and she was being dehyrdated to death!

The very first sentence is a lie so who would expect it to get any better after that.

Terri could differentiate who was visiting w/her. She treated her mom, sister and niece differently than she acted around her dad and brother. She had consciousness and was alert and aware. She laughed and cried. She took directions from physicians and it really doesn't matter how long it took for her to respond. The point is that she did respond.

Florida is The Starvation State.

I have made it absolutely clear to my family, my friends, and those that may be around if I'm ever in the same situation to cut off the power and go home.

Here's a thought: Write it down.

Given some of your posts, I doubt that your family will have any objections.

Terri's mom stood outside of Hospice and held a press conference BEGGING GOVERNOR BUSH TO LET HER DAUGHTER HAVE AN ICE CHIP. SHE WAS IN TEARS!

Even terminal patients get an ice chip. Jeb Bush didn't ever get Terri not one sliver of ice. For shame.

I couldn't understand why these people were so passionate about my life

Uh...it wasn't your life they were passionate about, Mr. Schiavo.

He got what he wanted and he's still not happy.

Proving once again that there's no rest for the wicked.

"Governor Bush, I'm begging you, please let Terri have water. Please." Mary Schindler March 2005

Terri's mom asked the cop if she could give Terri an ice chip and the cop told her if she tried, Mary Schindler WOULD BE ARRESTED. Does that sound humane or legal to real Americans? Of course not. This was a police state ready to arrest anyone who wanted to relieve Terri's suffering. How does a probate judge possess police powers? Oh, I remember. He's friends with the SHERIFF'S DEPT and the Pinellas Park PD got paid over $130,000 to make sure Terri would be killed. Who gave a circuit court judge the authority to deprive a human being of AN ICE CHIP? This was against every torture statute known to man. I was standing behind Mary at the time. It was so cruel to put a mother through the torture and death of her oldest child. For what? Wickedness and politics killed her.

I pray God gives me the wisdom to make the right one that He would have me make, for my wife's sake and not for mine.

In a nation whose constitution guarantees the right to life, one of the few things the government is charged with is protecting the life of those who cannot protect their own.

That is, if the times were sane; if men were men and weren't emasculated by the barbarians and fools that govern them.

Best to you and your family.

Re your 65 :

Her nurses testified that she could say a few words, too. She would point to herself and say "Hurt" when menstruating.

Uh, Michael tried to make EXACTLY that case. That she had no mental facilities and was not responsive to anything. Didn't feel any pain, etc.

someone near the situation used the word "vegetable."

Roman Catholic Church of Espiritu Santo in Florida

It's a beautiful church in a very wealthy seaside community.

It makes me want to vomit.

a little gallows humor...lol.

Governor Bush was a terrific disappointment on this. Everyone was...except the Schindlers and those who supported them and Terri. But the very people who had the power to preserve life, used it instead bring life to a violent end by starvation.

I have the book. Finished it in a day. It's a great book. Heartbreaking too. If you read it have a box of Kleenex nearby. I got it thru Amazon.com.

Yes, a little gallows humor. Here's the Blogs for Terri web site. Freepers aren't alone in this fight against the death cultists and in remembering Terri.

I do understand that people are sick of the story, but...

"There are two books coming out about Terri - which is why this is news - one by her parents and siblings and the one by her husband.

I guess there are real dollars and cents reasons on both sides, to keep this sad story alive.
