Procto,
You sound like the classic Michael Moore expert on Iraq. Remember Russia had a 40 percent controlling stake in Iraqi oil, and shooting down an American fighter is always good for the weapons business.

So Wrostpain, is that why Putin warned Bush Saddam was planning attacks against America? And urged America to support Bush against Iraqi terrorists?
The Pentagon said they will not investigate the report that the Russians had spies in Centcom.
What does that tell you?
Tells me that the Russians were helping us spread disinfo to Saddam and his generals.
Thank you, Russia!

Ah yes our benevolent allies sending equipment to kill American troops on the eve of invasion...It's a delicate matter since we need the Russians help controlling their Nuclear stockpile.
You're a fool if you think the russians wanted regime change in Iraq.

We didn't tell them, they penetrated our intel and command services. The KGB didn't go anywhere...it just changed it's name. Every nation has it's own agenda, I for one will never trust the Russians.

In addition...when it comes to national security I only trust the USA. Even our closest friend the UK collects on us. It's how the game is played, trust no one but your own, your objectives are the only ones that matter, if they coincide with someone elses, well than thats just peachy. If not, oh well.

The Pentagon ignores a spy in its HQ does not carry out an investigation - nor does it plan to? More like the Russians were feeding the Iraqis deceptive intel.
Thanks again, Russia!
